[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is my absolute favourite name, so that would be my favourite spelling. I just think it looks classy and sophisticated, plus that’s just the most instinctive spelling for me.
I also quite like [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]!
I wouldn’t go for [name_f]Katharine[/name_f] because I think out of all the options it’s the one that’s most likely to be misspelled, although all versions will be misspelled sometimes.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] to add - I pronounce [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katharine[/name_f]/[name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] all with 2 syllables and that’s pretty much how they would always be pronounced here (I live in the [name_u]North[/name_u] of [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]). I think the pronunciation differences are a very regional thing!
I prefer [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. I’m not sure why I do, but that’s the way it is. It was actually funny because one of my best friends is a [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and scolded me and said that it is only spelled with K when I mentioned that I liked the name for a prospective daughter.
I have always loved the “[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]” spelling. To me, this looks the most classic.
Yes, that’s totally what I meant.
I’m very sorry for the offense you seem to be taking, cj85 - I’ll take my lazy accent elsewhere and stop bothering you.
