Would love opinions on my name choices!

I have been looking at baby names for a while and I keep changing the combinations and which ones I like so I would appreciate some input. The two girls names that I like are:
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] Menorah
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Galilee[/name_f]
All opinions are welcome! Thanks Berries!

EDIT: On second thoughts Menorah is heavily Jewish so I will not use this. I still want to use Easter and Maple but need mn suggestions. I like the names:- Penelope, Clementine, Artemis, Story, Vivienne and Bethlehem. Thanks.

I like [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. The others are a bit church-y/synagogue for me.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] is really cute. I agree with the poster above, the others are a little too “religious” for my taste.

Thanks for your opinions. I love [name_f]Maple[/name_f] too and I am religious so that doesn’t bother me. I’m glad that it’s a matter of taste and you don’t think they are ridiculous ideas because I like them too much.

The make me feel like you’re trying too hard.

Thanks for your opinion. I like those names but if anyone has got suggestions then they’re welcome.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] Menorah makes me think of some kind of Jewish cartoon squirrel teaching kids about the meaning of Hannukkah.
I don’t dislike [name_f]Easter[/name_f] as a first name, but [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] seems silly.
I agree with an above poster who says it seems like you’re trying to hard.

I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is really cute. I think Menorah is cute but I’m not Jewish so I would’t use it. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Easter[/name_f] and think [name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] is super cute especially if you wanted to go with a really religious/festive name on a baby born around [name_f]Easter[/name_f].

I totally agree with ksilvia.

Thank you so much! I love the names but no one else on here seems to and I don’t see what is wrong with trying hard to decide a child’s name that they will have for life! I love [name_f]Easter[/name_f] too and I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Easter[/name_f]. I am religious and [name_f]Easter[/name_f] is such an important time that it’s a celebration of rebirth and new life just as my child will change my life. Thanks again, you’ve restored my love of the names.

If you’re set on a no-so-subtle religious reference, then I would pick one name and pair it with something a little less capital R religious. I like [name_f]Easter[/name_f], but not with [name_f]Galilee[/name_f], maybe another biblical but more universal name. I’m assuming you are [name_m]Christian[/name_m] (mainly because I’m having a hard time envisioning a practicing Jewish person considering the name [name_f]Easter[/name_f]), which gives you a lot of options.

[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Maple[/name_f], but not Menorah. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] Menorah sounds like the mascot of the Canadian Jewish Association.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Easter[/name_f] is pretty.
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f]

I also don’t care for [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] at all. Sounds like something the Duggars would name their kid if it started with a J. But, that being said, I actually like the name [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f]. It just sounds so joyful and sweet.

[name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
[name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]

or

[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] or Bethlehem

[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
Bethlehem [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
Bethlehem [name_f]Lily[/name_f]

or [name_f]Jerusha[/name_f]

[name_f]Jerusha[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Jerusha[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Jerusha[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Jerusha[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Jerusha[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]

[name_u]Eden[/name_u]

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]

[name_f]Magdalene[/name_f]/[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]

[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]
[name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] [name_f]Easter[/name_f]
[name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]

Thanks for the input! I am [name_m]Christian[/name_m] yes and I do like [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] but it is my step mum’s name so I wouldn’t use it. I’m glad you said [name_f]Eve[/name_f] as I thought of that but didn’t know about the E-E initial. I actually really like the name [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and Bethlehem is lovely but didn’t know how people would react to it! Bethlehem [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Easter[/name_f] Bethlehem are divine. I’ll consult and think a lot about your suggestions. Thanks again!

So…
one child to be named Menorah and another to be named [name_f]Easter[/name_f] in the same family. I think naming your kids to reflect your religious beliefs is fine and even normal in my culture, but it seems inconsistent to me. I have known many Jewish people in my life, but I don’t think I know any who would name their kids Menorah. (To me it’s like using Christmastree or Easteregg as middles.) To me it seems like a little mocking, and not genuine. I am not sure what your religious beliefs actually are.
I like [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Easter[/name_f] is not my style, but usable. I don’t like the middle names as much. The person above had some good suggestions.
I also like
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Tamar[/name_f]
and
[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]

Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

There are some beautiful names that mean [name_f]Easter[/name_f]–[name_u]Pascale[/name_u], Paschalia, [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. (The word [name_f]Pascha[/name_f] literally means Passover, but it’s the older word for [name_f]Easter[/name_f] and still used in Greek, Russian, and the Orthodox churches. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] means resurrection.)
I would avoid combining two word-names. “[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]” is lovely, but “[name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Galilee[/name_f]” feels way over-the-top cutesy-religious.

I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is cute–I prefer it as a middle, but it is darling. [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] isn’t a bad middle, but it’s a very strong association. I could see something simple like “[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Galilee[/name_f]” working. I like religious names, but I can’t imagine a lawyer, physician, or senator named [name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]. I’m not saying her name would prevent her, just that it’d be an odd juxtaposition.

I suspect that anyone religiously Jewish might object to a little [name_m]Christian[/name_m] girl whose middle name was Menorah. It’s also a very powerful association. I would not want it as my middle name.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] or [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] would be very sweet but not so gimmicky. I like pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] or [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f].

Thanks for your inputs! It is the middle names that I have struggled with and Menorah came when I was looking at longer names for [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] and I like what it stands for but yes, on second thoughts I think the Jewish symbolism is too much! I’m having a hard time thinking of names that I like that go with [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. Other names that I like are [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_u]Story[/name_u], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], Bethlehem. Any way that these could fit in?

I really like [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].
I also suggest:
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]/[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Bernadette[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Veronica[/name_f]

Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

It is so weird that I have just paired those names together too ([name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f])! It must be a sign; either that or they must sound good together! Thank you.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] will always be a syrup-y version of [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. And [name_f]Easter[/name_f] reminds me of Lent, which reminds me of lint.

Thanks for the response. Any views on [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Easter[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]/[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]?
