Hi ,
So as you may know the Y2K or 2000’s aesthetic is a popular trend in fashion , tv , movies etc. I thought it would be fun to create a collection of names that fit this aesthetic. Now this doesn’t mean it has to be names popular in this time though if you have one that is ok -

I’ve made a few threads about this style if you’d like to scroll through them
So according to the internet, the Y2K aesthetic is the term for the vibes from the early 2000s, which has always been my thing. I was a 2000s kid through and through (and a teen for the last two years) and I find a lot of nostalgia and comfort in that. Everything I grew up with from the beginning of that era just gives me the happiest feelings and I love those warm fuzzies I get from them.
The things that give me nostalgia/are my aesthetic are;
lip smackers flavoured lip glosses

So, I’m trying to find names that are more realistic choices for myself and S/O, and thus means, a lot of my favourites are falling into the middle name/guilty pleasure territory, as much as I dislike that. I’ve gotten a lot of opinions in person, and most reactions weren’t so great when I have been open about the names I love, so I’m wondering if there’s more mellow names that fall under my divalicious style?
Names I’ve decided to be “usable”: [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f], [name_f]Serenity[/name_f…
So, as I’m sure everyone knows, I love collecting names. It’s probably the only thing I do for fun during lockdowns (because really, is there much else to do? ). I’ve pretty well summed my style up as “divalicious” - full of nostalgia for the late ninties, early naughties (2000s), covered in glitter, bedazzled with rhinestones, frosted lipgloss toting, hot pink and baby blue names.
For reference, here’s what I’ve got so far: listography: error

I’m feeling a bit uninspired, so please, give me your best suggestions for me, based on my style/vibe, aesthetic, and other names I like at the moment (both GP and actual loves)
Style/Vibe I’m really drawn to names that remind me of 1990s/2000s R&B/Hip-Hop icons and iconic women/figures from then, as well as names that remind me of the Bratz doll aesthetic. I really like names that are less common (below the top 50 in the US) and have a sassy, feisty, “divalicious” vibe to …
[name_m]Just[/name_m] because, I love hopping on a good trend I have a new list to ring in the new year with - a mix of guilty pleasures and realistic favourites, but full of nostalgia for the early 2000s (the naughties, if you will) and all the diva glam from that era that I loved growing up, and still love today - rhinestones / bedazzlers, hot, vibrant pinks, frosted eyeshadows, glossy lips (hello Lancome juicy tubes), etc.
Behold, my 2021 meets 2001 divalicious (is this a word? I’m mak…
