[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] ![]()
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is an important and special place name for me and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] is the name of one of my maternal great grandmothers who people say I look like.
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] ![]()
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is a sweet and spunky name that Iāve loved for a long time and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] pairs with it beautifully and the ties to [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] are lovely. Also after [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] āTrixieā [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] from Call the Midwife, my favorite TV series.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] ![]()
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is from one of my favorite books, The [name_f]Guernsey[/name_f] Literary and Potato [name_m]Peel[/name_m] Pie Society. I love how elegant and romantic it is and how it well it fits with my other girlās names. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is a long time love.
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] ![]()
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is another special place name for me and I love how friendly and down to earth it feels. Both [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] honor another maternal great grandmother and it depends on the day for which one I would choose!
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - I always liked [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and I thought [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] was a pretty name without being too āfrillyā. When I paired them together, it just felt like a perfect name!
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - the lovely @EmilyMcA came up with this for me and I fell in love!
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] Marisol/Lydia [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] - I love the name [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and have done so since I was 9/10 when I first saw it in a book. [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] makes [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] feel very bright and fun, whilst [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] gives [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] a more classic and cottagecore vibe, and I just canāt choose between the two!
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] - I just came up with this, but I think it goes fantastic with the other three names and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] are two of my favourite names!
Iāve redone my list recently but its constantly changing (especially middle names so my full name combos arenāt final), today it would be:
Abigail Ivy
my father is joyful; botanical
Florence Ruby
flourishing, prosperous (+city in Italy); deep red precious stone
Clara Evangeline
bright, clear; bearer of good news
Georgia Lucy
farmer, earth-worker (+country in Europe/Asia - transcontinental and state in the US name); light
Edit (Forgot NNs): Abby, Flora, Coco And Gigi.
The top two (Ada and Sylvia) have been set for a little while, but the other two are more subject to change:
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] ā[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]ā
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ā[name_f]Edie[/name_f]ā
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] ā[name_f]Betty[/name_f]ā or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] ā[name_f]Betty[/name_f]ā
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Esme[/name_u]
[name_f]Rowenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
Aww. Like so many of you said, I would love to have 4 girls.
Including my daughter, and a solid possibility for baby#3 who we are trying for:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] - named for the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] brothers. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] has no particular significance but we loved it for its strength and softness and I love it more every day.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] - [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] would be a nod to [name_f]My[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and would tie her together with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] - [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is a lifelong love and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] would honor my grandmother [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] or [name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_u]Arbor[/name_u] - if I was dreaming⦠[name_u]Marian[/name_u] is the name of my best friend and would fit with the slight pioneer lady vibe of the rest of the set.
I call my daughter [name_f]Willa[/name_f] Willabee ![]()

If it was just me and me only those would be my choices but Iād love meaningful names from my future partner mixed in too of course!
Delphine Od.ette nn Delia - Delphine is a name I just really really love with its softness and its sound. And having the option of Delia as the nickname makes it even more special to me because it honors two characters, one from one of my number one favorite movie as a kid and one that I still love to this day (Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses) and the other from one of my favorite broadway musicals (Beetlejuice). The middle name Od.ette honors my late grandmother who was very dear to me, she was a second motherly figure, because her and my mom are the ones who took care of me the most and I will always cherish them so much so honoring my grandma is very important to me.
Alice Meredith - Alice is a name I love a lot but also happens to be the name of one of my favorite author, Alice Oseman. Alice has that softness like Delphine and is a classic name without being too popular (where I live). Itās also the name of a friend that I admired so much and even though we lost contact, I still think about her to this day. The middle name is to honor my other late grandmother E.dith but with a twist so it becomes Mere.dith which is a name Iāve loved for a very very long time. Actually thinking about choosing Meredith as a first name instead but weāll see.
Estelle Melodie - Again Estelle is a name I just really love, I also love that it means āstarā, I love stars for many reasons. Itās a classic name that everyone knows how to pronounce and spell without being overly popular which are my favorite kind of names. The middle is because Iāve always been a very musical person, Iāve played multiple different instruments since I was 7-8, Iām constantly listening to music and Iāve been a dancer since I was 10. My first language is french so I chose the spelling Melodie with the -ie because itās the french version.
Flavie Anneliese - Flavie is again a name I love without really any more meaning than that I just love the name and would go perfectly with her other sisters by being a name that is easy to spell and pronounce but isnāt too popular where I live. As for the middle, I thought Anneliese was gorgeous with Flavie and it comes from another character from a movie that I also loved SO MUCH as a kid (Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper). Iām still not 100% sure about which spelling I would choose because Anneliese isnāt the ānaturalā spelling that I think of when I hear that name, Iād go with Anne-Lise or Annelise but the spelling Anneliese is the one used in the movie and visually I think is my favorite, but itās a minor detail that Iām not too worried about.
Iāve gotta say that I used to watch those two Barbie movies over and over and over again as a child and I still rewatch them from time to time now for nostalgia but also because I still love them
Itās where my love for the name Blair came which I sadly cannot use if I stay in a place where people speak french because I donāt like how itās pronounced in french.
Always dreamed of having my own quartet of āLittle Womenā. There are so many lovely girl names but for today, my four daughters would be:
[name_f]Karis[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]: [name_f]Karis[/name_f] has a soft, feminine sound to me that reminds me of [name_u]Paris[/name_u], which is of course the city of love and [name_f]Carys[/name_f] means love. I chose this spelling to honor my sister and my best friend from childhood. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is in honor of my mother and is such a lovely classic.
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_f]Katerina[/name_f]: Iāve loved the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f] ever since I met the sweetest little girl named [name_f]Summer[/name_f] years ago. I know some feel the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is too hippie-ish but I donāt let that bother me, I think of all the positive vibes the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f] brings with it and it makes me smile. [name_f]Katerina[/name_f] is in honor of two of my sisters.
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Koraline[/name_f]: [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is in honor of my grandmother. I canāt decide if I would spell it [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] but either way, I love that it honors family, it has many nickname options (my favorite is Libby) and it is just the ultimate classic beauty! [name_f]Koraline[/name_f] is in honor of another sister of mine (I have a lot of sisters lol).
[name_f]Maisy[/name_f] [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f]: [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] makes me smile. It reminds me of sunshine for some reason, itās just spunky and fun. [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] is in honor of my cute little nieces who LOVE [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] in Encanto. The double M.M initials is in honor of my fatherās initials.
(Iām sick so Iām spending way too much time going through old nb threads at the moment haha). Right now it would be something along the lines ofā¦
Rose Elisabeth Cosette ![]()
Rose may not be my greatest love, but sheās certainly my longest lasting - all my dolls used to be named Rose variants, and Iāve always felt like my first daughter might be a Rose; strong, sweet, darling name. Elisabeth is a beloved literary classic, and Cosette is my ultimately guilty pleasure - itās the name Iād choose if no-one else in the world had an opinion. Thereās the amazing Victor Hugo connection, but also it just sounds so precious.
Clara Magdalene Mae ![]()
Clara is my favourite usable girlās name, ever since I saw the ballet The Nutcracker as a child (the only problem is my sister loves it too, so the race is on!) I adore Magdalene as a cheeky nod to my own first name, and Mae honours my beloved (as long as she doesnāt choose the name Clara lol) sister.
(Clara and Rose are my ultimate faves, so the next ones were more difficult and are more likely to change)
Susannah Verity Marlowe ![]()
Susannah ticks a lot of boxes for me - biblical strong woman (well - kind of) underused classic, and the meaning Lily is meaningful for me as the most successful art project Iāve ever done was inspired by lilies. My only issue is I donāt like Susie, but I know a Susannah who avoids that. Verity honours a friend who has all the qualities Iād want a young girl to have - smart, funny, considerate, gentle but extremely brave - and Marlowe is also an honour name.
Katharine Louisa Pearl āKittyā ![]()
Those whoāve been on nb a while may remember Katharine (in some form) has been on my list for a while; I love her both for herself - soft, strong, literary classic - and for her incredible nickname potential: Kitty, Kat, Kit, Kate, etc. Iām unsure about spelling: I like āCā better written down, but āKā leads more naturally into Kitty. Louisa honours a much-loved Louis in my life, and Pearl is my favourite gemstone as well as my wonderful motherās birthstone - she made me promise not to name a child after her, so I have to get creative!
Ouch, this was agony - so many favourites (Naomi, Eliza, Iris, Nina) I had to leave out. But I do like the little sibset I created!
