[name_u]Frankie[/name_u] met [name_f]Honey[/name_f] in a little get together among celebritiesâ she noticed [name_f]Honey[/name_f] was being quiet and struck up a conversation with her. Theyâre closer friends now, but [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] was an audience member to the [name_f]Alice[/name_f] / [name_f]Honey[/name_f] feud, often scrolling through Twitter in a mix of awe and fear. While [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] loves her new job, sheâs incredibly anxious about getting involved in drama like that, even though she knows thatâs probably inevitable.

Although sheâs also an artist, who specialises in photography and surrealist composite, [name_f]Season[/name_f] uses an alias of [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] E. when sheâs having her work shown at exhibitions, and enjoys seeing the appreciation without having to face excessive attention. This doesnât mean sheâs ignorant to what [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] faces, and has a great deal of respect for how she handles the position sheâs in, as well as always acting a listening ear when required. As her attitude towards recognition suggests, Seasonâs a huge introvert who keeps to herself usually, and only opens up around those sheâs very close to, otherwise focusing on the matters of arts when in casual conversation, or her other great love: collecting niche and fairly amusing posters, be they for films, albums or amateur zines that just catch her eye when sheâs out and about.
She met [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] when they were both building their online personas, and this closeness continued after " sweet summer haze " became a massive success, resulting in them opting to live together when they were both preparing to move out. Having opted against attending college due to her experiences with anxiety - starting when she was 15 - [name_f]Season[/name_f] tends to be the person who keeps the house in a good state during the daytime, as well as being responsible for the interior design of the living room [granted Frankieâs always consulted when Seasonâs making a new plan to include some prints sheâs scouted or rearranging furniture to make sure theyâve got more spafe when friends are coming over].
It was no question when they were discussing getting a cat for [name_f]Season[/name_f], as she grew up around them and is absolutely devoted to [name_u]Lemon[/name_u], Lime, and [name_f]Tequila[/name_f]. Her mom fostered cats when [name_f]Season[/name_f] was growing up, and they ended up getting two of their own, [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] and [name_u]Galaxy[/name_u], both of whom are still alive and visited regularly by [name_f]Season[/name_f], although theyâre pensioners when compared to the trio she and [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] own [not that their elderly status diminishes Seasonâs love of indulging them with games and affection]. As her parents divorced when she was 5, she grew up between their homes, spending weekends at her dadâs usually alongside her younger brother, whoâs currently studying electronics and shares her quieter nature, something a lot of people attribute to their father. In spite of not being together, Seasonâs parents have an excellent relationship, and sheâs relieved thanks to seeing how some of her friends witnessed constant hostility; having had them both over for dinner at the apartment.
Recently, she went on a few dates with another local artist - whoâs focused on digital work - and theyâre deliberating making it official, given how close theyâve become and the closeness they share. Seasonâs nerves means she hasnât dated much but Frankieâs been encouraging her to pursue this one, as itâs obvious how happy this person makes her friend. In turn, Seasonâs relieved to see Frankieâs newfound friendship with [name_f]Honey[/name_f] blossoming, as she was worried about the less savoury parts of the industry causing [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] to either hold back or be plagued by anxiety going forwards. Seasonâs done a few pieces for EPs of Frankieâs, as well as other musicians sheâs met through her, and this has increased her own confidence, something she doesnât comment on much but is incredibly grateful for and pleased about.

However she lives a much different life and a much different path than many others. Enzdela is a wanderer, a nomad without a home. She is of Georgian descent but her origins within her family and upbringing are unknown. Occasionally she travels to other countries but mainly resides in the U.K. She travels from town to town, earning her living by performing at local pubs, or offering services in crafts. She is a free spirit, and while she does not have any close friends, she has many acquaintances and followers who appreciate her talents and respect her independence. [name_f]Endzela[/name_f] is a self-sufficient woman, who makes do with what she has from moment to moment. She has learned to be flexible and pragmatic in her approach to life, and she follows her own path without fear or hesitation.
While she isnât super close with anyone, she and [name_f]Season[/name_f] do keep in touch and sheâs touched base around [name_f]Season[/name_f] and Frankieâs town multiple times although [name_f]Endzela[/name_f] insists that this isnât her hometown and she has no official hometown. Sheâs travels along other towns and met people as well although she is very safety-conscious and never lets her traveler life cloud that. She called the police and immediately left a town after overhearing a suspicious young woman discuss her desires to murder another young woman [name_f]Violeta[/name_f] [name_f]Silva[/name_f]. This creeped [name_f]Endzela[/name_f] out immensely and she wonders whatever happened in the aftermath of the wrathful womanâs murder plans against [name_f]Violeta[/name_f]. However sheâs also aware of the disappearance and attempted murder of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] Jagger-Lyon, which is much closer to [name_f]Season[/name_f] and Frankieâs hometown. Sheâs glad [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] is alive although she canât imagine how scary that was for her. Despite Endzelaâs fears, she actually admires true crime. While [name_f]Endzela[/name_f] is known not to be heavily associated with anyone, she has ironically met the person [name_f]Season[/name_f] is newly dating. This was actually a few years earlier when Seasonâs date lived in another town. [name_f]Endzela[/name_f] only briefly knows about the two being on a date but she would support them making it official, especially since Seasonâs date did some nice favours to help her while she was at that town.

[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] Lyonshall (24) is the creepy girl whoâs been at the center of so much drama, the girlfriend of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] Fuentesâ brother, and creepy girl whoâs obsessed with [name_u]Jax[/name_u] [name_u]Kingston[/name_u]. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] doesnât actually really love Rosieâs brother, sheâs dating him simply because heâs just as evil as her. Youâd have to admit, the two have a sort of animalistic chemistry, but [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] only has eyes for [name_u]Jax[/name_u]. Sheâs got a whole picture collage of him, andâŚwell, itâs pretty creepy. Sheâs dating him because of his dangerous tendencies, and sheâs definitely the brains behind the brawn in the relationship. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] admires [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], as both have an intellectual side and she sees herself a bit in her, but also hates [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] because [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] sees through her thin veneer of friendliness and is trying to separate [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] from her brother, who she believes is a good person despite the circumstances of his actions and his messed up personality.
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] has reason to believe that her brother and [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] were involved in the disappearance of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] Jagger-Lyon, a 17 year old girl who was the source of chaos in her community after she disappeared. Thereâs no concrete evidence but the two were in the location, and their craziness would probably allow for them to do something like thatâŚ

[name_m]Amaro[/name_m] " AJ " [name_m]Javier[/name_m] [name_m]Fuentes[/name_m] (21) is Marloweâs boyfriend of convenience, Rosieâs brother, and primary suspect in the attempted murder of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] Jagger-Lyon, at least where certain people are concerned. Morality is something AJ finds inconvenient at best of times, and if you asked him why, even he couldnât tell you in all honesty. At the age of 8, something just began building in him - a resentment towards the world, a need to rebel and inflict the damage his sense of displacement and anger subjected him to silently, and admitting to this lure towards inflicting hurt isnât something AJ has an interest in doing all that often. As this mentality became the norm, burying whatever guilt lingered was easier, and now the person he once was isnât even a distant memory: AJâs succeeded in completely blocking off that part of himself mentally - much to Rosieâs anguish and the [hidden] delight of [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u].
While never phased much by violence, he actually wasnât involved in the attempted murder of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. Heâs not the sort of person crying about the barbarity and vile nature of the attack, but AJ doesnât quite have it in him to intentionally take a life as that assault was based around - a disappointment for [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]. After all, how can she use him to further her goal of being with [name_u]Jax[/name_u] if AJ isnât inclined to randomly attacking strangers? The two had actually gotten into a brief argument that night - as AJ made plans to see an old juvi friend and dismissed [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] when she insisted on tagging along [in the hopes of making more connections to see her own plans flourish] - however this didnât build the sort of rage heâs been known for in his worst moments. Outbursts for AJ are usually directed at those he knows best of all, and he can hold a grudge quite nicely, as those heâs had problems with in the past have come to experience first handâŚ
Again, itâs another aspect of AJâs nature that appeals so much to [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] and her own intentions.
What she might not be so pleased to know is that AJ has secrets of his own, not quite being the devoted puppet [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] wants in her intermediate partner while obsessing over another man. AJ has other women in his life - two other girlfriendâs actually: one having been his penpal from juvi days; the other a woman he met through a friend, and while theyâre both aware of [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], she has no clue heâs been seeing them. The obtuse nature of his usual actions means she assumes she can read him like a book, and while this might be true when heâs about to scream profanities while driving them somewhere, or get into a vicious argument on the phone with his parents, AJ can keep secrets a lot better than she assumes possible. Slavish loyalty isnât in his wheelhouse, for how there is an odd charm to him when he feels itâs necessary to summon some charisma.
He actually has recently had contact from his penpal, who he visited using the pretense of getting into a blazing row with his parents over his lack of remorse where his behavioural patternâs concerned, who told him sheâs pregnant, and [name_m]God[/name_m] knows how [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] might take the news sheâs being dumpedâŚ

[name_f]Alyson[/name_f] [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_u]Jagger[/name_u] (23) is one of AJâs two girlfriends, but not the one whoâs his penpal. Thatâs not to say sheâs not a huge connected force â sheâs the aunt of [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_u]Jagger[/name_u]. Her older sister adopted [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and her sister [name_f]Jacqui[/name_f] before her marriage to her now-husband, and the couple is now expecting a child as well. [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] is also a polyamourist, having two boyfriends, the other boyfriend being AJâs friend whom she met him from. [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] doesnât care about AJ having other girlfriends for this reason although she wants [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and her recovery out of AJâs life. Itâs not fair to her and besides, he wasnât the one who did it. AJâs uncle [name_m]Xabier[/name_m] had a pinpoint that an 18-year-old woman who had mistreated [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] could be a suspect and while [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] isnât up for speculation, sheâs leaning towards that other woman having the true involvement in the disappearance and murder attempt on [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].
[name_f]Alyson[/name_f] works at home, sheâs a moderator for an online chat service, and sheâs quite self-sufficient working at her home. While she can be a âhot and coldâ personality, sheâs a good mod despite her username V3n0m0us-Sc0rp10. Sheâs a [name_m]Scorpio[/name_m], what can ya say? However in person, people do find her a little debatable, especially [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] who keeps acting like [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] will ruin everything she has with AJ. [name_f]Alyson[/name_f], being one of his girlfriends, realises [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is half-right but believes thereâs definitely something more on AJâs hands, especially with the third woman, who had a past with penpalling. [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] knows this other woman briefly although there was never any connection between [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] and the other woman. She didnât see the other woman as a poly girlfriend or as a âsister loverâ to AJ. She doesnât really care about the other woman but every time she thinks about AJâs other relationships, she always thinks about the drama that stems from [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]. She feels [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] isnât about [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], sheâs just about her own drama. But she worries about [name_f]Violeta[/name_f] because she senses [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is trying to get information about Evangelineâs attempted murder (because she thinks AJ tried to kill Evangeline) so she could do something bad to [name_f]Violeta[/name_f]. Alysonâs relationship with AJ hasnât been as strong as it was before, which [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] feels may be because sheâs closer with her other boyfriend, but she doesnât realise itâs because of the third girlfriendâs pregnancy. As much as [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] wouldnât want to lose AJ, she would give him and the other woman some space if she knew. Sometimes AJâs involvement with dramatic people feels grating to [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] and [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] wants more time to spend with the [name_u]Jagger[/name_u] family and her own niece or nephew to be. Still, she doesnât do anything at the moment given she still isnât aware AJâs penpal girlfriend got pregnant. One thing Alysonâs always thought is that the third woman was a better girlfriend to AJ than [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] was and that sheâs always wished the two luck because [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] isnât quite the nicest person about everythingâŚ

[name_u]Bexley[/name_u] " [name_f]Bex[/name_f] " [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] Pendle (21) is AJâs third girlfriend and the one to recently learn sheâs expecting his child. The relationship between [name_f]Bex[/name_f] and AJ dates back to his first stint in juvi [something Marloweâs never shied away fron voicing her discomfort over] when the two became penpals. She participated in the programme as her half-brother had recently been incarcerated, and the loneliness he experienced while inside prompted [name_f]Bex[/name_f] to begin writing, the assignment being random, but it blossomed into something much more. [name_f]Bex[/name_f] doesnât claim sheâs changed AJ or that she believes she can force him to confront everything going on in his mind - a spiral of resentment, remorse and fear, to put it in the simplest of terms - however she does believe itâs important he can speak to her openly about what goes on in his head, and thatâs perhaps what makes him so fond of her, having the most open affection towards [name_f]Bex[/name_f] by far, although heâs never cruel towards [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] or [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] comparatively.
Unlike the other women in AJâs life, [name_f]Bex[/name_f] hasnât pursued anyone else, but this is mostly a product of the fact she doesnât really have the time to committ herself elsewhere. A student nurse, [name_f]Bex[/name_f] wants to specialise in the mental health sector, and itâs going to be a challenge for her to relax as her pregnancy progresses, as sheâs a dedicated student. Her decision to study close to home has paid off at least, as [name_f]Bex[/name_f] has been unconditionally supported by her family, who are very loving people, in spite of people passing judgment regarding their socioeconomic background.
Part of [name_f]Bex[/name_f] has hoped she might be able to reach out to AJ and convince him to move closer to her, so they can both be consistently involved in the life of their daughter, however she knows this is a big ask, and also isnât sure how [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] will respond to this. Sheâs more concerned about her than [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] given that Marloweâs always had the most demanding and dismissive attitude towards AJâs other girlfriends, however in the same vain, [name_f]Bex[/name_f] does worry that [name_f]Alyson[/name_f] might also hold some resentment towards her for changing the dynamics between everyone so suddenly. Seeing her older brother embroiled in so much of it has made [name_f]Bex[/name_f] averse to all forms of discord and conflict, something she knows is ironic given who sheâs dating, but AJ tries his best to mimimise that when theyâre together.
The one person she knows she could ask for help is his sister, [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], however it feels unfair asking so much when thereâs already a lot going on when it comes to AJâs personal life. If [name_f]Bex[/name_f] was aware of Marloweâs full propensity for disturbing behaviour - see her plans regarding [name_f]Violeta[/name_f] [no matter if itâs an idle threat or just disturbed venting] - she wouldnât be hanging back as much thoughâŚ

While [name_f]Demi[/name_f] and [name_f]Bex[/name_f] donât live close to each other, they have kept in touch since they were little girls, and their pseudo-sisterhood is as strong as it has always been. [name_f]Demi[/name_f] has been loving the fact that [name_f]Bex[/name_f] fell in love through letter-writing, even going as far as to call it âsomething [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] would writeâ. [name_f]Demi[/name_f], ever the hopeless romantic, has always been a supporter of [name_f]Bex[/name_f] and AJ, citing that AJâs stint in juvie has nothing to do with his ability to be a good boyfriend. At first glance, many would scratch their heads as to why [name_f]Demi[/name_f] ended up with her girlfriendâ her girlfriend is currently in medical school and aims to be a surgeon, whilst [name_f]Demi[/name_f] is a journalist who moonlights as a poet. At her journalism company, though, Demiâs caught in the middle of a feud with two other coworkers: vitriolic exes who just so happened to befriend [name_f]Demi[/name_f] at the same time. Both blinded by rage, theyâre using [name_f]Demi[/name_f] as a bargaining chip, but in their pursuit of petty revenge, donât realise that Demiâs been slowly distancing herself from the both of them.

[name_u]Carmel[/name_u] " [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] " [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] Firron (24) is a colleague of Demiâs, albeit not one of the warring exes. In fact, the two became acquainted because [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] was the initial peacemaker when it came to the war. As sheâs told [name_f]Demi[/name_f] - after rescuing her from a particularly icy passive aggressive exchange by the photocopier - the relationship was doomed from the start thanks to both parties having unresolved prior hangups with exes, and while the blow up hasnât surprised [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] in the slightest, seeing someone else unfairly embroiled in it isnât something sheâs okay with.
Through her first two years of high school, [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] was the messenger when two members of her friend group fell out, and the burden of trying to placate them led to her eventually realising she had to get away from the clique entirely. Everyone was taking sides or likewise leaving when it became too much, and she reformed a new circle with those who left, as well as a couple other friends sheâd made in classes to give her some conversations that werenât all about what [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] had said about [name_u]Riley[/name_u], and then what [name_u]Riley[/name_u] had said to her boyfriend who was on the baseball team alongside Sashaâs ex. It truly disturbs [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] she can remember those details so fluidly, but now she can at least laugh it off with those who went through this exact same mess!
Since theyâve been hanging out more away from the office, Cammiâs younger sibling - whoâs genderqueer and uses he/zir pronouns - has becime acquainted with Demiâs girlfriendâs sister, and the three are convinced a mutual attraction is blossoming between the pair. [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] promises to not meddle in zirâs love life, but she wants to see him find happiness, and itâs been a struggle to hold off asking some pointed questions: the lure every journalist finds themself battling. To distract herself from the madness, [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] makes jewelery, and sheâs been introducing [name_f]Demi[/name_f] to this. It wonât surprise her if Demiâs girlfriend receives on of these creations but [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] thinks the couple are perfectly suited, and sheâs someone unaffected by couples being mushy around one another. Her parents have been married 28 years and sheâs been there, witnessed that, got the embarrassment t-shirt and recognised their happiness is lovely, not a source of cringe.

[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] " [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] " [name_f]Adele[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] (19) is a sophomore in college, an intern at [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] and Demiâs journalism firm, and the younger sister of one of the warring exes. While [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] leaped at the opportunity to intern at her older brotherâs journalism firm, she now wishes she took her time to decide which firm to have her internship at.
While she knows her brother can be incredibly stubbornâ sheâs the exact same wayâ [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] was amazed at the cold front her brother put up when confronted with his ex. It was incredibly jarring to see her brotherâs ex treat her brother with such passive-aggressive disdain, but treat her with kindness and respect. Whilst the two were fighting over who would guide [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] around the firm, she slipped out of their argument and practically begged [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] to take her under her wing, as hearing the two argue would drive her insane. [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] has already heard too many personal phone calls between the two of them and wants nothing to do with his love life. Itâs one thing if the two of them were fighting over genuine issues, but when the argument is about who started the argument in the first place, [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] thinks its gotten out of hand at that point.
[name_u]Jazz[/name_u] would be a hypocrite if she didnât admit she loved watching the chaos from afar. Her friend group often ask for updates on âJournalism Islandâ, where [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] mimics the narrator of [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Island[/name_u] and summarises what goes down at the firm. She loudly denounces love, saying that seeing what it can do firsthand makes her want to be single forever. But [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] is unaware that one of her four friends is crushing on her, and is also unaware that her quips about hating love are hurting them just a little bit.

So-hyun â [name_u]Rune[/name_u] â Yeom (19) is one of Jazzâs friendsâ, albeit not the one with a secret crush: although she is aware of this, the only one in fact. Runeâs the only one of the group who opted against attending college: sheâs always known she wants to inherit her family restaurant and, after sitting down to talk to her parents - who worried [name_u]Rune[/name_u] might have felt she had to continue their business, after her older brother declined, and her younger sister wishes to become a figure skater - Runeâs now being tutored in management by her dad.
Sheâs always the friend you hope makes snacks for hangouts, being a talented cook who was always the first to offer to help her mom when dinner was being prepared. [name_u]Rune[/name_u] is very content with her status as âmom friendâ of the group, having the most even temperament and being talented at conflict resolution, something noted since she was in kindergarten, stopping others from squabbling over toys. This has led [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] to insist she needs to be dispatched to the firm to stop Journalism [name_u]Island[/name_u] being renewed for another season, but [name_u]Rune[/name_u] couldnât quite bring herself to face that just yet.
[name_u]Rune[/name_u] has her own flat above the family restaurant, shared with her beloved bichon frise, [name_m]Trip[/name_m], who was a graduation gift from her grandparents, and she absolutely adores him. The main guest she has (aside from her friends of course) is her younger sister, whoâs very eager to establish whatever independence she can at 16, and [name_u]Rune[/name_u] tends to find herself in the position of adviser: as sheâs more level-headed than their brother.
Speaking to [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] about the crush is something that [name_u]Rune[/name_u] has considered several times: not revealing who has feelings for her persay, however indicating it could be denying her happiness going forwards in life. [name_f]Kaori[/name_f] â [name_u]Kai[/name_u] â Miyawaki (19) is a friend of [name_u]Rune[/name_u] and the friend whoâs been harboring a crush on [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] for a while now. Sheâs also a part of the Miyawaki family, a sister of Ishi and Haru. [name_u]Kai[/name_u] loves her family, but, like [name_u]Haru[/name_u], found the drama that often ensued between her older sisters to be overbearing, leading [name_u]Kai[/name_u] to take a nonconfrontational approach to problems nowadays. [name_u]Kai[/name_u] often resorts to making jokes during tough situations, and being âthe funny oneâ has become a bit of a coping mechanism for her.
Kaiâs very theatrical and dramatic, but is a very sweet person, and will often listen to her heart instead of her head. Her temperament definitely contributed to her success at Juilliard- sheâs studying to become an actress and hopes to get onto Broadway, which she knows is very hard to achieve, but she has hope for her future. Kaiâs lighthearted and bubbly personality has gotten her many friends in college, but sheâll always love her group most.
Whenever [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] openly says sheâll never love anyone, [name_u]Kai[/name_u] canât help but feel a little hurt and often confides in [name_u]Rune[/name_u]. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] â [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] â [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] Beauchard (19) is the final member of the group, whoâs also the only one in a relationship - although [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] hasnât disparaged this, for how sheâs sworn off love herself. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and her girlfriend have been together just over a year now, since meeting by chance at a party hosted by a classmate, but theyâre content to take things slow (a huge sign of relief for Tessasâ friends given Journalism Island). [name_m]Frankly[/name_m], itâs been another source of relief for [name_u]Rune[/name_u] and [name_u]Kai[/name_u] to see that Tessaâs outlook on romance wasnât destroyed hearing of such dysfunction, but sheâs always been someone level-headed.
Generally considered the quiet one, Tessaâs a music student, who specialises in wood instruments. She started flute lessons when she was 7 and it all sprung from there, with her musical tastes tending to lean towards soft and somewhat fantastical. In truth, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] doesnât have a long-term plan established. Teaching isnât for her, as she knows her nature isnât suited to kids being nagged to take up practice by their parents, and while performance is the dream, she wants to remain realistic instead of getting her hopes up too much, which is pretty personal for [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
Her maternal granddad was an aspiring actor, and when she was in her mid-teens, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] learned of the toll this had on his family, who were constantly moving around and making financial sacrifices, all for the sake of an unlikely dream. His success was decent but he was never satisfied, and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] hasnât had much contact with him, after he tried to act as an unwanted manager for her older brother, whoâs a sound technician with a network contact. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_m]Peterson[/name_m] (19) is Tessaâs girlfriend and very pleased with everything about her. Like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] wants to take it slow as well. Her sexuality is actually still questioning â sheâs loved [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] more than any man sheâs fallen for and is confident her preferences are with women. Sheâs still unsure if the men sheâs once fallen for are her real attraction or just a âstraight phaseâ and isnât sure whether sheâs attracted to any other genders. She is proud to be in the LGBTQUIAP+ community though stating sheâs very much a Q. This doesnât change her relationship with [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] in any way and sheâs confident [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is the right one. Sheâs grown closer to her classmate who introduced she and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] together. Her family was told she had 6 months to live and that her family should prepare for the worst. However, she never gave up and stated she wanted to keep fighting until the bitter end no matter what happened. She not only prolonged her life but recovered remarkably which made the family excited and proud that she was beating the odds through her own determination. Good news: she would eventually make a full recovery and end up healthy and happy. But on a horrific note, it wasnât her willpower that helped her overcome the diagnosis. It was a negligent hospital error when someone carelessly mixed her medical record with someone elseâs â and someone else unrelated who was told of a happy recovery would end up dying in 6 months instead.
Pertaining the Journalism [name_u]Island[/name_u], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] isnât involved in this, although sheâs well aware. She supports [name_f]Demi[/name_f] although sheâs seen the craze about the warring exes. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] has a part-time job at the bagel shop and accidentally got in an awkward situation with [name_u]Jazz[/name_u] when Jazzâs brother demanded she never sell bagels to his ex. While the shop can refuse service to anyone for any reason, [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] didnât want businesses involved in this random drama and simply replied, âSorry, I donât make the rules for who we refuse to serve,â just to get him off her back. Like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] was a music student, although her first year of university, she didnât pursue this. Sheâs there for [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] on the issues regarding her grandfather and calls her sister [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] sometimes and asks if sheâs doing okay regarding her fame career, not wanting someone else to take over Frankieâs career path for her. While [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] isnât as extroverted as her sister, sheâs very choosy and always wants to make her own decisions for herself without anyone elseâs control. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] canât imagine the idea of other people making choices for her. Sheâs the type of person who makes complicated orders at restaurants, but has courtesy and wonât complain and send back food if itâs made wrong. Sheâs glad Tessaâs brother took control of his own life as well and stood up for himself when their grandfather wanted to call the shots. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is also that cool girlfriend who always brings food when sheâs around [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and her friend groupâŚand with her memory, remembers exactly what everyone wants.

[name_f]Jasmina[/name_f] [name_f]Ginger[/name_f] [name_m]Peterson[/name_m] [24] is Bridgetâs cousin and the one who survived the medical incompetence. Back when she was twenty-one she was freshly out of school with a degree in elementary education, but before she could get a job she began experiencing symptoms that were disrupting her life, like fatigue and migraines. Despite her limited income, she gathered up her money and her courage and went to a doctor. He insisted that there was nothing fine with her, except for PMS. Disheartened, she sought out the advice of another doctor but unfortunately that was when the whole patient files mix-up happened, and the second doctor she went to told her she had terminal brain cancer.
At first she felt that there was no way that it was right, she pushed back against her doctor insisting that he perform more tests but he instead told her that she was in denial and being âhysterical.â It was then that she resigned herself to her diagnosis.
Despite the less than favorable prognosis. She was determined to fight it, convincing her doctors to put her on a rigorous regimen of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It was a large strain on her physical and mental health, as well as the familial relationships of both her family and Bridgetâs family. Nonetheless she pulled through and was eventually given a diagnosis of NED, AKA âNo Evidence of Disease.â However after receiving those scans, both [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f] and her doctor felt that something wasnât right.
Upon closer inspection, it was just no evidence of disease that she had, she never had cancer to begin with. The mistake was exposed, but the damage was done. The aggressive chemo and radiation did irreversible damage to her spinal cord and nervous system, leaving her with weak limbs and the inability to walk more than very short distances. This lead to [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f] beginning to take advantage of the use of a wheelchair. It was a bit of a struggle coming to terms with her own internalized ableism but she soon found that using a mobility aid was not confining, it was empowering.
Her family ended up entering a lawsuit against the doctor who misdiagnosed their daughter and they did eventually win, but [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f] was already starting to move on instead. Her life was already changed and no amount of money won or suspension time for her doctor would undo all the trauma and damage she endured. She instead turned to sharing her story online under the username âauthenticallyjasâ where she raises awareness about medical misogyny and ableism. Sheâs garnered a decent following but still thinks of herself as the girl she was before everything happened, just âplus some wheelsâ as she likes to say.

She is a staff member of a shelter house near a hospital where family members stay close by when their relative is hospitalised for a long time. [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] was a very kind influence on the family and on [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f], being very motivational. But never in her career has she expected to see someone be falsely diagnosed like this. Itâs made her thankful that the doctor who did this mistaken switch has since been fired and sued, especially given how itâs harmed [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f]. However, [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] has been happy for Jasminaâs positivity and her two grown children are followers of âauthenticallyjasâ. [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f] has since been a wonderful role model for the disabled community despite her horror story and [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] is still on good terms with the Petersons. She wishes she knew the other familyâs case in the medical switch, having never seen them enter the shelter house due to their mistaken belief their relative would recover easily. The idea of the switch still haunts her.
Sheâs the eldest of three siblings, older than the middle sibling, [name_f]Bev[/name_f], by 6 years. However, after giving birth to her first child right after just finishing college, [name_f]Bev[/name_f] felt she was a âbad influenceâ. Sunnieâs now 24-year-old child is non-binary, which granted [name_f]Bev[/name_f] was not transphobic over, however [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] isnât close to her anyway. Neither is the youngest sister, who has also cut off [name_f]Bev[/name_f] due to her rudeness in the family. [name_f]Bev[/name_f] would end up having her first son [name_m]Wil[/name_m] at 23, just one year older than [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] at the time she gave birth to her first child. But [name_f]Bev[/name_f] was married, so she always insisted this was different. [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] is a mother of two, having another child, a daughter, who is good friends with [name_f]Bex[/name_f] Pendle. [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] is glad to be away from [name_f]Bev[/name_f] because she didnât want [name_f]Bev[/name_f] trying to control her children, but she still worries about what evil things her sister wants to do next.
She finds her job stressful but honestly she enjoys it, finding a love in being there for people who look to her during their hard times. Sheâs just seen a family leave after their relative recovered, and itâs made her feel very happy to know that she helped that family when they needed it most and everything is better now. Also nobody she works with has even been a pain to her like [name_f]Bev[/name_f], the closest to this is a co-worker who is aunt to one of the infamous warring exes, but she is a good person who doesnât make war over anything. [name_u]Sunnie[/name_u] is someone very wise but still likes to learn from others, and has learned a vast amount of new knowledge from [name_f]Jasmina[/name_f]. While she is very pro-medical, sheâs very open when disgusted by medical errors and vocal against the carelessness that causes it.

Dominique " Minka " Lacie Jamerson (21) is Sunnieâs daughter and the younger of two, whoâs currently studying a combined degree in speech therapy and psychology. Although some have asked, half-jokingly, if her extended family are the reason behind this, when Minka tells them no, sheâs being genuine. The idea of providing therapy to someone with her auntâs disorders and quirks absolutely terrifies Minka, so sheâs made a note that if the professional field becomes something sheâs involved in, sheâs going to find a very discerning secretary to help her avoid these like the plague. Having little contact with Bev - aunt has never been a term Minka finds appropriate for her - is something sheâs deeply grateful for, as the womanâs reputation is infamous, and usually the stories told are to do with her controlling behaviours or her Karen antics.
The most recent âBevisodeâ [as Minka calls them] kicked off when Bevâs younger son, Sy, reunited with his girlfriend, Emma, after his mother managed to halt their romance with her meddling and incessant judgement. Bev has seethed and complained, mostly to her long-suffering husband, however sheâs now simmering down, which means Minka suspects thereâs something [or someone] else on the horizon to receive her behaviour. When she was young, Minka used to hide behind her mother if Bev came round, being very shy, and uncomfortable at the scrutiny always projected: which tended to intensify whenever Bev was in a foul mood about something only Bev could become enraged over.
While sheâs still a reserved person, who doesnât actively seek out the spotlight or feel at ease dealing with confrontation, Minkaâs grown up and can find more amusement in the pettiness of others: unless theyâre posing a threat to the well-being of others. Bexâs relationship with AJ has sometimes come under this bracket, given his evasiveness and the fact he used to be involved with Marlowe, whoâs behaviour escalates beyond simple melodrama and spite into a toxic blend of delusion and non-existent empathy. When the pregnancy came to light and AJ broke it off with his other casual partners, Minka anticipated chaos, which hasnât come yetâŚhowever she isnât holding her breath that something might come up regarding the more troubling personality of the two otherâs her friendsâ boyfriend was involved with.
Minkaâs tried to focus on the positive things: such as the revelation Bex is expecting G/B twins [a shock to AJ most of all] and supporting her in preparing for motherhood, however she canât shake her cautious streak. Sheâs still very private about these aspects of life in her dorm - not that she doesnât believe her roommates canât empathise, but itâs a lot to reveal to anyone so fresh into bonds being formed. Thereâs also the matter of Minka attending to the needs of her pet hamster - Barley - and spending time with her older sibling amidst everything developing around her.

[name_u]Riley[/name_u] is working as a middle school teaching assistant in an [name_f]English[/name_f] class and is trying to get a job as a full time teacher. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] tries their best to stay out of any drama revolving around [name_f]Bev[/name_f] and the rest of their family, as they arenât a fan of her and her cunning ways. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is close with [name_m]Wil[/name_m] and [name_m]Sy[/name_m] though, and never minds having them vent about their mother.
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] is often the one people go to when they have a problem, as they are very easy to talk to and understanding. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] has a smoking problem, starting when they were 16 and they took up smoking to relieve their stress of coming out to their family and not knowing how certain members would take it, as well as a few other things going on in their life. They originally thought [name_f]Bev[/name_f] would be transphobic to them, but [name_f]Bev[/name_f] thankfully doesnât really care, as being nonbinary has nothing to do with any of her plans, but if it did, she would probably do something with it. But it doesnât, so she is indifferent to the situation and does respect their pronouns. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] has tried to quit smoking several times, but always falls back on it when things get hard, now smoking almost a pack a day and having a hard time being able to pay for their habit.
Rileyâs inner group is going through a bit of drama, as it was found out that one of the guyâs in the group was a pretty rocky person, who cheated on his girlfriend and was having a double relationship. He told the group this and everyone was shocked, not expecting it from him at all. He says he feels guilty but he loves them both, and doesnât know who to pick. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] tries to listen to their friend and give advice, not being mean but trying to be harsh enough to let him know that this type of thing can not go on. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] says if he doesnât choose soon, they will tell both the girls and have it be that. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] finds the whole thing a bit ridiculous given they are all adults now and not teenagers, and they are starting to lose patience.

The main difference between [name_u]Rex[/name_u] and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is sheâs been more vocal about her disappointment than them, speaking to their friend directly about how love doesnât justify the way heâs been leading on two women. This wasnât a surprise to him - in spite of how clearly unhappy he was - as [name_u]Rex[/name_u] hasnât had much time for his inconsistencies. Within their group, sheâs actually known him second longest, and this established affection is why she wants him to improve on his behaviour, rather than condemning him.
When they were young, [name_u]Rex[/name_u] and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] bonded because they have complex family situations, feeling able to open up to one another without the threat of it becoming gossip going a long way. Rexâs mom was adopted and the couple who took her in werenât just disinterested in her connecting with her Hopi cultural heritage, they outright tried to prevent this, feeling it undermined their status as her parents. This was more passive aggressive when she was young, however when Rexâs mother fell pregnant at 20 - with her only child - the tension imploded when [name_u]Rex[/name_u] was born and she was given her momsâ surname.
Subsequently, [name_u]Rex[/name_u] grew up estranged from her grandparents, learning the full story when her mom felt she was old enough to know the truth behind the disconnection. Sheâs very proud of what her momsâ fought for and is heavily involved in Hopi culture herself, including the promotion of stories to raise awareness about discrimination and disparity. This translated into LGTBQIA+ rights, following [name_u]Riley[/name_u] coming out as nonbinary, and [name_u]Rex[/name_u] is currently working for two charities, one representing Indigenous persons, the other for the queer community. Pansexual herself, [name_u]Rex[/name_u] is single, and in all honesty, the drama relating to she and Rileysâ friend has made her pleased about this.
