[name_f]Fallon[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] Frankish nee [name_m]Laird[/name_m] (30) is the oldest of the siblings and fellow aunt to [name_m]Nesta[/name_m] and [name_f]Maris[/name_f], as well as being mom to a 2-year-old boy of her own. Unlike her academic and humanities interested siblings, [name_f]Fallon[/name_f] went down the creative path, currently working as a costume designer across a breadth of industries: plays, music videos, indie films. She’s also done a fair bit of modelling since the age of 19, although it was never her dream career, and she’d usually get involved as cover for other people if they needed to make up numbers.
There’s a playful rivalry between [name_f]Fallon[/name_f] and her sibling closest in age, [name_m]Conan[/name_m], due to the fact he had his children before she and her husband welcomed their son. Although some people think it was intentional by Mr and Mrs [name_m]Laird[/name_m] - having a year gap between [name_m]Conan[/name_m] and [name_f]Fallon[/name_f], then one between [name_f]Reagan[/name_f] and [name_m]Seanan[/name_m] - it wasn’t, things just turned out that way! What was planned was all of their names ending in an ‘n’, a tradition [name_f]Fallon[/name_f] did continue with her own son, who also has an [name_m]Irish[/name_m] name to reflect his heritage.

Ruadon " [name_m]Rory[/name_m] " [name_m]Elliot[/name_m] Frankish (2) is Fallons’ son and cousin of [name_m]Nesta[/name_m] and [name_f]Maris[/name_f], as well as nephew to [name_m]Seanan[/name_m], [name_f]Reagan[/name_f] and [name_m]Conan[/name_m], who is extremely content with his status as an only child, not that anyone would doubt it seeing how he carries on. Surprisingly, [name_m]Rory[/name_m] doesn’t mind being the cheerleader of his cousins - especially [name_f]Maris[/name_f], who he hero worships blatantly - and since the birth of [name_m]Nesta[/name_m] he has come around to the idea of sharing his mom and dad more with a sibling, seeing how the former adapted to the arrival of her sister.
While his first name was chosen for his maternal family, his nickname was to honour his paternal family, where ‘y’ is a common ending. He’s always wanting to learn more about the world, especially anything relating to his heritage, and loves visiting museums and galleries, where he has to see absolutely everything. Recently he went to the aquarium for his second birthday and this delighted him, with [name_m]Rory[/name_m] asking if he could live in one, something that never fails to amuse his loved one’s [although [name_m]Rory[/name_m] was very disappointed to be told no].

[name_m]Kacey[/name_m] “KC” [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] Frankish (26) is Rory’s paternal aunt and a fun influence on the boy, given her love for outdoors. She’s always wanted to live in a forest as a child and she likes some of the natural life now. She still enjoys cosmetics, being in cosmetology. She is always more than welcome to see [name_m]Rory[/name_m] explore his heritage, finding him “never too young” to see things through. She supports children finding their best way of getting educated and is still in contact with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], who still edits books. She and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] have known each other through family relations and they’re still on nice terms. KC is in a relationship, though not as long as [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has been, but both are doing great in their lives as it is. KC and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] love to snorkel in the summer, and while [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has scuba dived, KC has always been afraid. Though she’s wanted to do it someday.
KC sometimes questions if she’s friends with certain people. Not that she doesn’t think they’re “good enough”, but more so her shy, introverted sense. She’s close with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] since she knows this for sure but she gets nervous otherwise. It makes her feel awkward to ask, “Can you be my friend?” believing that no real friend ever has to ask that, not to mention how awkward it would be if the answer was no. It would be awkward to put people on the spot anyway, and she knows this from a past person who used to ask all the time. This person had a bunch of demands and insisted those who didn’t follow “weren’t true friends”, but made it in a sense that it was too humiliating not to follow. Granted, KC has never been bullied growing up, given she and her family went to a great school system with zero tolerance for bullying. She hopes [name_m]Rory[/name_m] gets that luck in life, believing he deserves a happy life. Still, she can’t help but adore the large amount of innocence he has still, and how he hasn’t yet learned to doubt himself.

[name_m]Franklin[/name_m] " [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] " [name_m]Carter[/name_m] Schuman (27) is [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Brooks’ fiance and ‘dog dad’ to their trio, who knows KC thanks to the women’s friendship. Working as an EMT, people get confused that [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] doesn’t plan on moving up the chain into becoming a doctor, but he admits it’s something that doesn’t inspire him, especially as he feels he’s doing good in his current position and doesn’t want to treat it just like a stepping stone.
He also was diagnosed with dyslexia 2 years ago and this is something that’s answered a lot of questions for him. Throughout school [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] struggled a lot, and this only felt more pressuring for him as his older brother’s a serious academic, who’s now almost finished his schooling to become a dentist. Their parents never compared the brothers or treated [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] any differently, but seeing how people put his only sibling on a pedestal did hurt, and they only became closer in more recent years after a lot of awkwardness around each other.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] got engaged a year ago, 4 years into living together post-graduation. She’s someone he’s never felt judged or asked too much of, and he always tries to offer her that same confidence. As she’s now working on getting herself published as an author, this is even more important to him, and he’s grateful of her friends like KC who are likewise so kind and supportive.

[name_f]Lourdes[/name_f] " [name_f]Lola[/name_f] " [name_f]Alexia[/name_f] Yero (28) is another long-term friend of [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f], who also knows KC through mutual association, although they’ve only become closer friends recently. [name_f]Lola[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] both were lit students and are aspiring writers, although Lola’s hoping to become a playwright instead of going through the author route, primarily as she’s always been drawn to stage performances.
When she was a kid, her mom belonged to a theatre group, and it was always a brilliant time for [name_f]Lola[/name_f], her dad and younger sister to watch their performances, something everyone bonded over in spite of their very different interests. No-one else in her family has pursued acting as an art form, but [name_f]Lola[/name_f] doesn’t believe families have to inherit everything from each other, in fact she thinks differences allow people to celebrate each other in new ways.
Right now, Lola’s working in retail and is one of the shift managers at a local thrift store, something her interests perfectly align with. She’s not someone massively ambitious, something that has won questions from her parents at times [her dad worries about her selling herself short], however this is because [name_f]Lola[/name_f] wants a job that affords her time to write without distracting or souring things for her.
And being very fond of buying second hand - especially the environmental implications - helps with her enjoyment of her work.

Margarida “ Mardi “ Briana Yero (26) is Lola’s younger sister and naturally gets along with her despite the differences. Mardi is glad Lola’s embraced this so well among the family, because Mardi’s always felt like she had to be the same as her friend, Jenna Heng. Jenna herself has an older sister Delle, who’s much different from her, so Jenna never really wanted to pressure Mardi into being her carbon copy. Mardi simply felt worried she had to, since Jenna was changing a lot in her life and Mardi felt she hadn’t “changed enough” to keep up. Mardi loves the beach, and if she could, she’d spend every night lying in the sand while the waves crash by. Most people would find this crazy but she would find this luxury. Mardi admittedly couldn’t be an actor, since she’d easily break character. She’s very honest and she feels maintaining a filter should be enough. And Mardi couldn’t imagine playing a character she couldn’t relate to, though she loves Lola’s versatile expressions.
Mardi is still somewhat close with Jenna. Admittedly she’s glad she didn’t get pregnant just because Jenna did, but doesn’t want to come off as holier-than-thou. She feels bad for the fallout and Jenna’s ex leaving, even if she has privately told people that she wouldn’t ever do that. Mardi wants to stay genuine however and isn’t afraid to ask for help when she doesn’t know what to say. Mardi likes the Heng family even if they seem a little off, because she feels all families are like that. Mardi went to college to become a nurse, though she’s not a nurse yet, taking time off to teach beach volleyball, though now she’s enrolled herself in nursing school. She feels the relaxing beach vibes and athletic activities have actually brought her closer to her nursing goals, since she was stressed and nervous before. Now she’s in a better place to make better decisions. Mardi loves watching Lola with her playwriting and thrift store managing and always likes to ask how it’s like to work with great people around her.

[name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] is a Cambodian immigrant alongside her older brother, the father of [name_f]Delle[/name_f] and [name_f]Jenna[/name_f]. [name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] has had to navigate through the awkwardness of Cherry’s former roomie, who has since graduated, being in a relationship with him. [name_f]Cherry[/name_f] found it so strange at first, which [name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] understands, especially since her brother’s wife used to be very flirty-romantic with him. In her defence, it was just a weird question, where answering it was a lose-lose. [name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] is a physiotherapist and is proud of her career, though she felt a pressure to succeed, considering she was entering a country she wasn’t from and marrying a citizen. She never intended to “sham marry” her husband and genuinely loved him, though she is strong on the opinion that it’s not always easy to tell if a marriage is sham or not.[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] isn’t a grandmother but she knows she will be, and she’ll take it over being a grandparent now in unfortunate circumstances like her niece [name_f]Jenna[/name_f]. [name_f]Jenna[/name_f] often fears asking for help since adulthood and often shies away. She’s always done this, but even more since getting with her ex-partner. [name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] herself can’t judge – she thought she’d live her life without kids, but ended up having 4! She is glad for all of them and although half of them weren’t planned, it’s nobody’s business which half they are. The other Heng-McClure son, who is also in a relationship lately, is rushing rather fast, and she’s not so sure about this. He and his partner are doing great in their jobs but not too long after dating, they’re already living together. [name_f]Sovanna[/name_f] isn’t sure if it’s for comfort or finance, but it seems it’s more likely because they’re sure it’s meant to be. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if they’d rather not explain what “meant to be” means.
