Just wanted to let you know there’s actually Aria who’s the youngest child!
Better?
[name_u]Perfect[/name_u]! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] it wasn’t too much trouble but didn’t want to phase out someone else’s character!
tw: mentions of murder, overshadowing of violence against WOC
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] Sinuon Choem (25) is Danny’s sister, Raven’s unofficial in-law and aunt of their daughter and unborn child(ren). The younger daughter in her loving, Cambodian-American family - consisting of 2 parents and 5 children - [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] feels blessed to have been born to wonderful parents who treat everyone with kindness, empathy and respect. Working as a journalist who specialises in criminal cases - be it unsolved, ongoing or the actual trial processes - Amelia’s decision stems from the killing of her classmate when she was in her final year of high school. Although the murderer was apprehended and justice served, the lack of coverage always bothered her, which she felt was influenced by the fact her classmate was a WOC, and vowed to increase awareness for the marginalised in her writing.
This is a promise [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] has kept throughout her career and she’s now close friends with her classmates older sister, who she first met while writing a piece on that exact case. In spite of the inherently unhappy nature of her work, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] works hard to not let the darkness consume her: practicing mindfulness, meditation and constantly making up stories for her varying nieces and nephews to ensure she’s also channeling her love of writing into more upbeat pursuits. She and her partner, who’s non-binary, have some plans to start a family of their own but are planning on waiting until Amelia’s partner finishes setting up the charity for LGTBQIA+ people facing estrangement and disowning they’ve been working on since the couple met at a fundraiser several years ago.
(tw: premature birth, NICU)
[name_m]Umbriel[/name_m] [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] , [name_m]Ollivander[/name_m] [name_m]Raoul[/name_m] & [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] [name_m]Valerian[/name_m] Morall (nb) are [name_u]Raven[/name_u] and [name_u]Danny[/name_u] 's newborn triplets for whom [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is unofficial aunt. They spent a rough time in the NICU when they were born and couldn’t even be held by their mom initially due to the urgent nature in which they needed help breathing, however their situation improved quickly and they now seem to be growing into healthy baby boys & soon going home. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] was overjoyed when she recieved the news and even wrote a short story about three brave knights who fought a lot of obstacles and even dragons to perfect their craft, but eventually all recieved an accolade from the king and all became renowned for their bravery & strength. [name_u]Raven[/name_u] got emotional enough reading it to them in the NICU that she had to excuse herself to the bathroom for over 15 minutes because she cried so many tears of happiness. [name_u]Raven[/name_u] and [name_u]Danny[/name_u] are hopeful everything will go smoothly for their family from that point on. All they want for [name_m]Umbriel[/name_m] , [name_m]Ollivander[/name_m] and [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] is to grow into happy and fulfilled people - [name_u]Raven[/name_u] is sure she will introduce them to many religious systems & faiths, letting them choose whichever system of belief they find speaking to their souls the most. while [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] wishes to be a good unofficial aunt and official godmother to them, encouraging in future creative pursuits
slight warning: talk of infertility
[name_f]Kamala[/name_f] [name_f]Alecxis[/name_f] ( [name_u]Temple[/name_u] ) [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u] (27) is a NICU nurse & a Morall family friend. She has worked everyday since [name_u]Raven[/name_u] & [name_u]Danny[/name_u] have come into the hospital to give birth to their beautiful boys. She admittedly felt uneasy when the boys were emitted into the NICU, but is ecstatic to see them doing better & hopes to see them home soon.
[name_f]Kamala[/name_f] has always dreamed of being a mother herself, but do to medical issues has never been able to carry one of her own. She takes her job at the NICU very seriously and has decided if she can not bring new life into this world on her own she will fight for and alongside those who are trying to do so.
Kamala’s infertility has caused a lot of stress in her marriage, but they have remained strong through it all. [name_f]Kamala[/name_f] and her husband met freshman year of college outside of a sorority party her best friend had dragged her to & have been connected at the hip ever since. [name_f]Kamala[/name_f] and her husband have considered IVF treatments, but she is very wary and concerned about the toll they may have on her body. They are currently considering adoption & hope to come to make this important decision soon.
[name_f]Chandra[/name_f] [name_f]Keilani[/name_f] [name_u]Temple[/name_u] (23) is Kamala’s younger sister. She has offered to be a surrogate for [name_f]Kamala[/name_f] and her husband but the couple has not yet decided whether to got with that offer. Like her friend [name_u]Raven[/name_u], she is also left-handed and Raven’s parents dislike her along with Tessa’s parents although the [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] parents like her. She has sometimes had to cover up and claim she and [name_f]Kamala[/name_f] are not sisters to protect [name_f]Kamala[/name_f] from being discriminated by the Morall parents to avoid ruining their family friendship. [name_f]Chandra[/name_f] is considered a family friend to all sons and daughters of the Morall and [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] families and is currently working with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] in journalism. She and Kamala’s husband get along great as well and she was the bridesmaid at their wedding.
Bo Zachariah Temple (47) is Chandra’s and Kamala’s father. He’s a movie fanatic and archaeology buff. He was in the middle of getting his anthropology degree when he and his wife (20 years old and newly married) got pregnant with Kamala. He put his dream career on hold so his wife could pursue hers, and took up blogging on the side of being a stay-at-home dad. Once Chandra came along, he knew that home was where he would stay, and even though he’s sad about it sometimes, he loves his life and family. His wife and older siblings keep encouraging him to finish his degree (and a friend of his just recently got his Masters at the age of 51), but he’s not sure yet. He still blogs, although he mostly makes movie reviews and history discussions on YouTube now, and he does the bookkeeping for his wife’s thriving business, too. He’s happy. And isn’t that what matters?
[name_m]Collin[/name_m] [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_u]Temple[/name_u] (17) is Bo’s nephew and [name_f]Chandra[/name_f] and Kamala’s cousin. He’s the youngest of three boys, his brothers being 27 and 25. The older two brothers were always close, but [name_m]Collin[/name_m] never experienced the brotherly bond that he witnessed between them.
As of now, he is working hard for toward basketball scholarship for next year. He spends all of his free time shooting baskets and doing drills. He’s been hearing his aunts and uncles talking with his Uncle [name_u]Bo[/name_u] about the degree he wished he’d gotten, and [name_m]Collin[/name_m] wants to make sure he achieves his dreams and let nothing get in the way. However, there is a certain girl he has his eye on…
Maturity warning (kind of): drugs, sex
Cyrus Rafferty Temple (50) is Collin’s dad. He and Bo grew up with the same taste in movies, and they were banned from quoting them at the dinner table because they used to do it all the time, more than they held regular conversations. Now, he watches his older sons quote things with each other, and it warms his heart. It makes him sad to see Collin try and fail to connect with them on that level, so Cyrus does everything he can to support Collin in his interests. He’s there at every basketball game, he listens to Collin talk for hours about his favorite players and the coolest moves, and he hosts parties and hang-outs for the team so that they always feel like they have a home where they can unwind and be themselves. He knows some of the kids are experimenting with substances and romantic partners, and he has an unconventional belief that teens are going to do what they want to do, and they might as well get a safe space to do it with someone responsible and non-judgemental close by. Plus, he has the training and tools to help with addiction and overdose because of his job, so if anything happens, he is literally the safest person for kids to be around.
Speaking of romantic partners, Cyrus has noticed Collin’s crush on a certain girl, and he’s trying to figure out how to talk to him about it. Normally, Cyrus feels pretty confident in how to address vulnerable or awkward topics, or at least how to create an environment where kids feel comfortable approaching him about it, but this situation is a little more complicated…
[name_m]Warren[/name_m] [name_u]Maddox[/name_u] [name_u]Temple[/name_u] (25) is the middle child of his family and Collin’s technical closest brother in age, although this hasn’t really done much given that Warren’s always been closer to his older brother, on account of their very small age gap. Warren’s considered the most sensitive, easygoing and approachable of the brothers’ due to his talent for connecting with others’. While not as outgoing as his older brother or blessed with the athleticism that draws people to [name_m]Collin[/name_m], [name_m]Warren[/name_m] doesn’t mind belonging to a smaller friend group due to the closeness he’s developed within this circle, and how his friends have always encouraged him in his dreams of becoming a psychotherapist, something he’s now pursuing his bachelors degree in so he can obtain this dream.
Identifying as bisexual, Warren’s been with his boyfriend since they were both 19, meeting in their second year of university and bonding over a mutual interest in hiking - a common date for them both to go on still. [name_m]Warren[/name_m] was a bit apprehensive about coming out to his family as he was going to be the first cousin to do so, and it took the encouragement of his older brother for him to go ahead with it, being relieved and incredibly happy when he received nothing but support, love and acceptance from his relatives. He and his boyfriend are currently housesharing with some of their friends who are also pursuing bachelors degrees, enjoying their company as well as that of their pet cat, a Sphinx named Wriggly.
Darian Luc Baltimore (25) is Warren’s boyfriend. He gets called Dare by their roommates, which is fine with him since it makes him sound more adventurous and cool than he’s ever felt in his life. He definitely fits Warren’s pet name for him more: Dari, which he only lets Warren use because Warren is the only one he feels safe with being the gentle, soft person that Darian really is.
Darian’s had a lot of internal homophobia to overcome in his life since he grew up in a strict, religious town. He still hasn’t come out to his family, and he doesn’t know if he ever will. Right now, they think all of roommates are just his friends. It’s soul-crushing to him sometimes, especially around the holidays, but he feels like his family doesn’t deserve to know the real him until they prove that they are safe, loving people to not only him but the entire LGBTQ+ community.
As a writer and soon-to-be graphic designer once he graduates and starts his internship, Darian is excited to announce that he’s self-publishing his first book this year! He was trying to go through traditional publishing, but Warren’s encouragement and one of their roommates’ excellent abilities as a hypeman have finally pushed him to pursue his dream. He describes his book as, “Lord of the RIngs if it was a comedy, and if the Fellowship was really nerdy about hiking.” He has no idea how successful it will be, but he’s mostly publishing the book for himself, his boyfriend, and his friends. If it gets bigger than that, well, that’s just a bonus.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_m]Baltimore[/name_m] (22) is Darian’s younger sister, and the most devoted [name_u]Christian[/name_u] in their family. [name_u]Darian[/name_u] still thinks it is a bit cruel how [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] ‘encourages’ (or rather forces) their uninterested 14 year old brother to read the bible. She loves her big brother but if she knew about his sexuality she would never ever have a deep connection with him again, because she has extremely homophobic opinions, that her Mom shares but her Father and siblings do not really share. She wishes to work as a pianist or something like that. She was engaged last year, but [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] cancelled the wedding after her fiance came out as bisexual (as you can imagine, she was furious)
[name_f]Suvi[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] Mendelsen (3) is [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and Darian’s niece, whom the former has next to no contact with. Suvi’s mother is actually the half-sister of the [name_m]Baltimore[/name_m] siblings, born to their father in his first failed marriage (which his wife refuses to acknowledge, even though [name_u]Darian[/name_u] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] have met their olfer sjster), and this made distancing the little girl from her stepgrandmother and the intolerance she preaches easier to separate her from. [name_u]Darian[/name_u] didn’t even know he had a niece until recently due to the gradual estrangement of his sister and his parents, but she managed to track him down after hearing through the family grapevine that he’d begun distancing himself, leading to [name_f]Suvi[/name_f] finally meeting one of her maternal uncles.
A curious, adventurous and stubborn little girl, [name_f]Suvi[/name_f] isn’t exactly friendly around strangers but she enjoys hovering so she can get a read on them. Darian’s someone she’s very much taken to thanks to his creativity, and [name_f]Suvi[/name_f] enjoys following him about whenever he visits, hoping he’ll draw him some more pictures to stick up in her room. She’s not entirely averse to the idea of becoming a big sister but isn’t exactly upset her parents want to wait for now, enjoying the attention being their only child brings, especially from her mom who she practically hero worships. Suvi’s paternal family are Finnish-American and she’s starting to learn some of the language more confidently now, muttering certain words and phrases as she goes about hunting for bugs or painting.
[name_f]Marina[/name_f] [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Ebenezer[/name_m] Starke (5) are the twin children of [name_u]Michael[/name_u] Starke, Collin’s basketball coach, and the neighbors and good friends of [name_f]Suvi[/name_f].
[name_f]Rina[/name_f] lives for dance. She’s actually pretty famous on tiktok for her sassy, adorable dancing. She’s tried to teach [name_f]Suvi[/name_f] hip-hop, but Suvi’s only interested in spinning and leaping. [name_f]Rina[/name_f] secretly has a crush on [name_m]Collin[/name_m], despite the fact that he’s 12 years older than her. She likes to go with her dad to games just so she can see [name_m]Collin[/name_m].
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] also likes to go to the basketball games, but because he truly loves to watch the game. He hasn’t started playing with a team yet, but he works on skills with his dad in the driveway. He also loves art, and his favorite thing to do is draw pictures of his family with a baby boy, in hopes that his unborn sibling will be a boy. For Kai’s sake, his mother and father hope to have another son as well.
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Beth[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [Gildroy] Starke (34) is Michael’s wife and mother of the twins, as well as an expectant mother of her third child. [name_f]Beth[/name_f] tends to be more reserved than her husband and worries about [name_f]Rina[/name_f] being known across the internet, fears [name_u]Michael[/name_u] finds himself trying to quell on account of how nothing about their location or Rina’s full name is made available - as he knows Beth’s anxiety comes from a valid place. Although she’s currently on maternity leave, [name_f]Beth[/name_f] works as a librarian and archivist, having excellent organisational skills and this applies to the family home as well: something she credits to helping her adjust to having twins so well, as she’s always on top of things.
It didn’t shock [name_f]Beth[/name_f] to learn she was expecting a duo in her first pregnancy, as her dad’s a twin and her older brother has twin sons of his own, so it seemed more inevitable than anything she’d have multiples at some point. Although she only has one sibling, Beth’s extended family is very large, and her cousins’ are the one’s who babysit [name_f]Rina[/name_f] and [name_u]Kai[/name_u] when she and her husband would like some time just to themselves. While her daughter takes up more of her time in terms of worries, [name_f]Beth[/name_f] and [name_u]Kai[/name_u] are very close on account of their more sensitive natures, something she always encourages him to not be ashamed of or feel he has to hide, as she considers his strong empathy very important and admirable.
Michael Owen Starke (34) is Beth’s husband and father of the twins and child-to-be. He is Collin’s basketball coach and is proud of his career. At 18, he had his first job working for Smith oil and was upset with how little he and the other employees were being paid. However he was always told “You are at an entry-level position” as the excuse for not getting a living wage. He had to work another job at a French restaurant as a server to get enough money and ultimately quit Smith oil after the infamous 2007 oil spill they caused. Smith oil has since been in more controversy from the then-unreported 2017 hit-and-run death of Ozzy Flannigan caused by the owners’ daughter Angelyn. While Angelyn is in jail and the company owners told everyone they didn’t know about the crime and give Angelyn any handout money to rig the trial in her favour, they still faced criticism for not showing any remorse over the death and only feeling bad that the controversy would ruin their brand. The company is in a third big controversy because the employees are still not being paid a living wage and being overworked, destroying them even more.
The French restaurant wasn’t that good of a job either and Michael would eventually leave it for his current job as a basketball coach. Michael knew the environment was very stressful with this being a high-end restaurant. While he didn’t like how hectic it was, he did respect the head chef because he was very hardworking and always stressed with the competition of haute cuisine. Running a big and well-respected restaurant was tough even for those who were exemplary chefs and Michael felt bad for the head chef and had no idea what it was like in such a competitive perfectionist environment. When he left, he felt much better and less stressed out but still highly respected the people there and always said good things about them. A few months after leaving, he was a basketball coach and was dating Beth at the time and took her to the restaurant for a date and offered to pay for the whole date. Beth was surprised by how upscale the restaurant was and Michael said “This is our treat. I like to do something fancy once in a while and I figured you’d like it.” Beth was honoured and normally she didn’t go to fancy places like this but she was impressed by how amazingly organised it was. So the two enjoyed the date and Michael gave a big tip to the server and told Beth, “These people are amazing. They can handle much more than I ever could. I’m too honest, too relaxed, and I want kids; which is something the other employees don’t have time for.” Beth said, “That’s why I’m dating you,” and kissed him. The two would continue their relationship and eventually get married and have kids. Michael is very close with Beth’s family especially her older brother who also has twins. He is hoping his brother-in-law’s twin sons would be into basketball when they become teenagers.
Michael loved coaching basketball and considered this his dream job, working with teenagers and valuing teamwork. Some of the teens he coached have gone on to do great basketball careers or became coaches themselves but he also has a soft spot for people like Giles who are good at basketball and like the sport yet has also turned to music, being in the jazz rock band Fiddlesticks. Michael loves the music and at the end of the day, he doesn’t want his players to grow up stressed out. He wants them to enjoy themselves no matter where their time on the team takes them later in life. He uses his teamwork and relaxation skills as a parent to the twins and wants them to be happy. For Rina, he wants her to enjoy herself and protects her from online cyberbullies. He doesn’t understand Rina’s affections for Collin but knows this isn’t a relationship and he doesn’t take any of it seriously. He loves that Kai is passionate about the game and loves seeing the players and loves that in basketball fans, wishing more fans were happy and enthusiastic rather than anxious and angry at teams they don’t support. Sometimes he worries about his children but lives his life very positively and inspires that in his basketball students, in he and Beth’s family, and in everyone.
Ozzy and Angelyn were created by me.

Chelsea Odessa Aquino (20) is Michael’s half-sister. Their mother married Chelsea’s father when Michael was 12. Michael & Chelsea have a special bond, he loved having a baby sister when he was growing up. They have the same sense of humor and love to laugh when they get together. Now Chelsea will graduate college soon with a degree in textile design and sculpture. She looks forward to traveling all over the world to better her craft and create beautiful pieces. Chelsea’s Filipino heritage has formed the foundation of many of her designs, being greatly inspired by the blankets and textiles that belonged to her grandmother and spent decades on display in her parents home.
[name_f]Benedita[/name_f] ’ Ditto ’ [name_f]Paolina[/name_f] Magalhaes (20) is Chelsea’s best friend and a fellow art student, albeit she’s majoring in Fashion Branding with Communication - inspired by her interest in the ethical, cultural and political aspects of clothing that she first engaged with while visiting her grandparents in Portugal where her mother grew up and her father’s grandparents emigrated from. As the eldest she contrasts from [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] in several ways, namely in the pressure she feels to excel and set a good example, as well as her habit of organising everything down to the last detail - having sorted out her first student house months before all their other friends.
To some people, Ditto can seem a little overly serious and fixated on analysing everything to ridiculous degrees, but her precision, eye for detail and patience are just as present in her interpersonal relationships: being a staunchly loyal friend who’s incredibly thoughtful, kind and accommodating when it comes to those she’s close to, especially her younger sister who has autism and requires sensory adjustments to ensure she’s comfortable. She visits her family often - helped by the fact she has the most reliable car, a present purchased by her parents and grandparents for her 18th birthday - and takes her friends out on impromptu trips whenever they’re feeling like it, being excellent at arranging picnics that have also doubled as photography shoots for Ditto and Chelsea’s fashion creations.
(tw: teen pregnancy)
Sambo Katelyn Pinkert (21) is Benedita’s dorm-mate. She considers Ditto one of her best friends & also enjoys it when Chelsea visits their dorm. The pair always manage to make her laugh or smile even on the most stressful or difficult days. She fondly remembers a night before one of her first exams when the two turned the volume up on their stereo and encouraged her to “get loose” and dance. When she refused Chelsea grabbed hold of her right wrist, Ditto her left and they lifted her off the couch and waved her hands in the air. That night turned out to be one of her favorite nights to date and she ended up doing very well on her exam the next morning.
Sam has always been an open book. Some may say she is a little too open. She has always been one to speak her mind & stand up for what she believes is right even if she turns out to be wrong. So it isn’t surprising that her girlfriends know every aspect of her life except for her one big secret - she is a mom. Though she is proud to be a mother she recognizes it wasn’t the best situation and will not deny that it wasn’t exactly what she had imagined for her life.
Sam gave birth to a tiny baby girl on her 17th birthday alone in a hospital room. The babe’s father said he was not ready to be a father & refused to be a part of his daughter’s life. Sam retorted, “then you should have worn a condom!” Ultimately though she realized that it takes two and that her daughter will live a better life without a father than with a father who doesn’t really care for her or support her. Her mother was at home. She refused to come see the birth of her first grandchild because she refused to support her daughter’s choices. Instead, she puts her fingers to her ears and eyes and says “if i can’t hear/see it it isn’t true.”Sam’s dad had been out of the picture for 15 years then. After the birth of her little girl Sam swore she would be the best mother she could be - not a perfect one, but the best she could. Sam went out & got a job within the month & had a friend’s parent watch her baby girl when she was at work. Her friend’s mother could see how hard Sambo was working to support her daughter and how kind, loving, and tentative she was & decided to have a conversation with Sambo’s mom. She explained to her what she had seen and encouraged her to make emends with her daughter & not to miss anymore of her granddaughter’s life. After taking time to truly think on it Sam’s mother agreed and became more supportive of her daughter.
The hardest decision Sam ever had to make was deciding to go to uni for her business degree, but knew that the degree could help her go far in life not just for her, but for her child. She pushed it off for a couple years, but her mom encouraged her to go finally and explained that her daughter would be proud of her mother for graduating college and that they would call her every night and they would see each other often. Sam travels home to her family every weekend - starting the drive after her last class on Fridays. Her friends have always been a bit suspicious and troubled by her disappearances on weekend, but assume it’s because of a secret s.o.
