Create a Family With a Twist

Maturity warning: Teen pregnancy and being the son of teen parents.

tobot_zps7e48fb08

Zane Corey Martin (22) is close with Sambo but isn’t sure where he’s at. He is part of the Martin family and mistakenly believed to be Meryl and Henry’s son. However he is actually their grandson and was born to a teenage mother who was 16 at the time he was born and is currently 38 while Zane’s father didn’t ever attend to his new son. That mother is the oldest of the siblings and has younger siblings; 28-year old Tyler, 21-year-old Avery, and 13-year-old Russel along with one other sibling. Meryl and Henry were only 22 when their oldest daughter was born and this may have carried on with her having a baby so young although she is the only one in the family to be a teenager and have a baby. He and Avery, the closest in age to him, are often mistaken for siblings and people don’t believe they are nephew and aunt.

Zane’s biggest issue growing up was simply how he was raised. He never really had a stable upbringing and constantly felt like he was a burden. His parents have told him “It was never your problem,” to make him feel better when he found out he wasn’t planned but was distraught at the pregnancy being referred as a “problem”. Zane used to not know much about his aunts and uncles and used to resent them but now he gets along with them very well. He realised that they are tremendously nice people even if all they did for the day was smile at him or give him a warm greeting because growing up, they were just kids and even younger than his mother, so they couldn’t raise him. He does feel some envy that they were raised by older parents with much more stability but knows it’s not their fault and doesn’t say a thing, leaving this a secret. Zane and his mother are on odd terms and Zane doesn’t have many friends growing up while his mother lost many friends due to the stigma of her pregnancy. Zane never had birthday parties and was never that good in school, his only big skill being basketball with the help of Coach Michael. Zane’s mother has since made some friends, many of whom are a decade+ younger than her like Jazmin Winters, who has always been in support of her peers. However when Zane’s mother forgot Jazmin’s birthday on the 4th of April, Zane nagged her for being bad at birthdays once again.

He and Sam became good friends and have bonded much closer. Due to not having good grades in school, he took community college and has tried to push his mother into trying for community college too. He had also debated whether to go to university because tuition was expensive and he would have been stuck in student loan debt had he not gotten a scholarship from basketball. He and Sam are great at conversations and enjoy having someone to relate to. However he doesn’t yet know she is a mother. She really thinks she and Zane could have something special but she doesn’t know how he will be able to accept her motherhood, being a son of a teen mother. She knows about him being a son of a then-teen mother and believes he could give her very solid advice about raising her daughter but fears this could push him away. He has said he wished his mother was older and more stable and often questions whether his existence really is a “problem”. Although Zane has never gotten into drugs or sex, he has found Cyrus to be an excellent mentor to understanding perspectives and knows him from Sam but doesn’t understand yet why Sam bonds with him. Zane knows Sam is a smart and responsible young woman and has told her that a lot. They are not seriously dating but they do feel a mutual attraction to each other, but secretly Sam doesn’t want to date Zane for the sake of both of them if he cannot date someone who had a baby as a teen.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_m]Hernandez[/name_m] “Caro” (19). [name_u]Caro[/name_u] is in the same business class as [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and is a cheerleader for the basketball team that [name_m]Zane[/name_m] is on. She enjoys hanging out with them after practice or class. So far she hasn’t felt like too much of a third wheel but she is concerned if they start dating more seriously that she will a little pushed out of their friend group so she is trying to get closer to [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] and Ditto to have more friends that she can spend time with. Despite being a cheerleader which she enjoys a lot as a sport, she’s more introverted and finds making friends hard. She hopes to one day open a small locally sourced sustainable good store and put her business degree towards good. She enjoys playing board games and reading classic literature. She is not currently dating but she recently came out to her friends at school that she is bisexual. She hasn’t told her family yet but intends to over the summer.

Michele Teresa Martin (20) is a fellow cheerleader and is Zane’s aunt. She and Caro get along although Michele being Sane’s aunt is quite awkward. She teaches swimming lessons to the toddlers and even babies, teaching 1-year-old Luna about the shallow end and believes teaching babies and toddlers is possible and important, especially to families who have pools or babies and toddlers who have older siblings who swim. Her inspiration from this is Zane himself, who taught her how to swim when she was 2 and she is Zane’s closest bond of her aunts and uncles.

She got into cheerleading from Caro, who is Zane’s friend and while she isn’t officially in the friend group due to being busy with teaching swimming and trying to avoid being that “awkward aunt”, she enjoys hanging out with them a lot. She and Caro are both bisexual but are just friends at the moment. Caro and Michele are very close and talk a lot about stuff that they wouldn’t tell anyone else, but neither of them know Sam’s motherhood.

[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] " [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] " [name_f]Paige[/name_f] Elleston (20) is a fellow member of the cheerlading team, however she’s a bit less intertwined in the friend group on account of having had some conflict with [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] is also the child of teenage parents and her story mirrors Zane’s greatly in many senses: her father is also out the picture and her mom endured a lot of stigma for giving birth to her at just seventeen, although this was further worsened by her mother having been estranged from her grandparents at this point in time, leaving her with very few resources to raise [name_f]Cammi[/name_f], on top of the fact people looked down upon them. Her mom subsequently moved them to a larger city after securing a place in a women’s shelter when [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] was six months old, growing tired of the small town attitudes and prejudice, as well as having hopes a larger place would provide more opportunities. This would thankfully turn out to be true for the most part: her mom got a job as a bank teller and they lived as comfortably as possible given their limited income and state benefits. [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] saw her mom sacrifice a lot throughout her childhood and knew, in many senses, it would’ve been easier for her to have been put up for adoption and for [name_f]Dinah[/name_f] Elleston to move somewhere to start anew, but she chose to endure judgment and raise her daughter. Cammi’s attendance of college is on a scholarship, which she obtained thanks to her talents at [name_f]English[/name_f], and she’s majoring in linguistics.

[name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] are close friends on account of her never judging the other girl for being a teen parent, instead supporting her and respecting how she’s done all she can for her child. She’s actually met Sam’s daughter on a few occasions, thanks to the other girl feeling comfortable letting [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] see this part of her life thanks to her personal connection to these circumstances. This is what led to [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] meeting [name_m]Zane[/name_m] and their dislike sparking quickly, as she feels he doesn’t empathise with how much single teen mom’s endure, not to mention all the sacrifices involved in parenting. Cammi’s always been quite hot-headed and headstrong, which means she doesn’t back down upon disagreeing with someone, escalating her animosity with [name_m]Zane[/name_m] as she’s too used to being defensive and backing down from an argument. [name_u]Michele[/name_u] and [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] can be a little awkward on the cheer squad thanks to this, not getting into rows with one another but they’re fully aware of Zane’s fights with the younger girl, and Cammi’s insistence on getting him to understand her perspective. Working part-time at a music shop for some additional income, [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] frequently learns of gigs and events which she invites her friends to, having an open perspective when it comes to music; something she attributes to her mom, who had a varied CD collection [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] was raised on.

[name_f]Elora[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] Pinkert “Ellie” (4) is Sam’s daughter. She loves seeing [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] (and is insistent that her last name is Ellie-ston), and has shown an interest in both cheerleading and basketball. It’s ridiculously adorable to watch her clumsily chase the ball and strike different poses while singing her version of the team’s cheers.

She is currently living with her grandma while [name_u]Sam[/name_u] is in school, and she squeals with delight every time [name_u]Sam[/name_u] comes home for the weekend, and begs her to stay every time. For the most part, she doesn’t seem to be affected by the occasionally tense family circumstances, but recently, she’s begun sleepwalking and talking to herself in a sad voice.

Dante Lukas Corben (18) is one of the babysitters of Ellie. At first the family felt odd to have such a Gothic person babysit their daughter but have soon learned to respect him. Dante’s gothic personality is similar to his sister Zoey’s and the two of them love heavy metal music and have the same vibe. He loves his siblings and gets along great with Matt although he is less outgoing than Matt and doesn’t know Matt knows about a secret pregnancy of a teen mom in his school. When he was in high school he was is in Socean and Textiles Club but never took the role of President or Vice President and was simply just a member. He and Nia participate in beach clean-ups every weekend. He was very shy and credits Sam and Ellie for breaking him out of his shell although he is a proud introvert. He can be very nice and uses his Textiles Club skills to make things for his family and friends. Sam and Ellie love what he makes for them and how he personalises it to be just the way they like it. People who don’t know him think he won’t respect you if you’re not Gothic but this is false and he loves people having freedom of expression and would never force his lifestyle on others. Ellie’s grandma isn’t set on Dante yet but is slowly starting to see his good character.

Dante was also a son of a teen mother but his mother chose not to keep him and he was adopted into the Corben family alongside fellow adoptee Matt and their older foster sister, as well as the biological Nia and Zoey. For the Zane and Cammi drama, Dante’s stance is a very neutral one and he tries to be friends with both of them. Zane and Cammi reluctantly respect his stance but they do not want Dante inviting them both together in events and Dante has agreed but had trouble juggling them both as friends. Zane and Cammi both think it’s easier for Dante to take that stance because he was adopted into a family who chose to make that decision to adopt him while they were not adopted and rather adapted. The reason why Dante doesn’t want to lose one or both of them as friends stems from the fact that even though he is grateful to be adopted, he knows his biological mother has since had another child and Dante was always separated from that other child and never got to meet them. He doesn’t know anything about them at all; not their age, not their gender, not their name, not who their father is, nothing. Dante hates having this mystery of who his other sibling is and wants to know them already and is currently trying to find and meet his younger sibling.

[name_u]Shannon[/name_u] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] Leabody (10) is Dante’s mystery sibling. It is no surprise that she does not know she has an older sibling & believes she is an only child.

Her father is the [name_m]Vice[/name_m] [name_m]President[/name_m] of a nearby biker gang & works at an auto parts store. Though her friends usually find him a bit unnerving and scary he is actually a nice guy. On occasion he has let [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] ride on the back of his bike (just up and down their driveway) & she loves to feel the wind in her hair & swears she will have one of her own one day.

[name_u]Shannon[/name_u] is very talkative and often get in trouble for it at school, but at home her parents enjoy having long conversations with her and enjoy getting an idea as to how their daughter’s brain works. She has always been a very curious girl & asks a lot of questions some of which the adults around her don’t know how to answer.

She is currently a member of the [name_f]Girl[/name_f] Scouts and enjoys going around every year selling cookies. Her favorites are the s’mores. She has made some good friends in her troop and has also become very close with her troop leader, a local high school teacher. [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] hopes to be one of her students when she gets into grade 10.

[name_m]Miguel[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] Garcia-Smith (32) is the youngest member of Shannon’s father’s biker gang. [name_m]Miguel[/name_m] has recently become an especial favourite of [name_m]Miguel[/name_m] and Annalise’s Spanish Mother, who they gave the affectionate nickname of Antigua, which means old in Spanish (As it plays on the fact that she is a Grandma) He is the favourite because [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] has been having fertility issues, and Antigua has always wanted lots of grand children, and is very sniffy about the fact that [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] has adopted two children from another continent.

[name_f]Talise[/name_f] [name_f]Catrina[/name_f] [name_f]Devereux[/name_f] (31) is the mother of Miguel’s children, although they’re currently separated. [name_f]Talise[/name_f] and Miguel’s mother have never exactly seen eye-to-eye, which primarily stems from her having met him due to being one of Annalise’s best friends, and the way she’s seen [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] treated for something completely beyond her control and which she’s at no fault for has angered [name_f]Talise[/name_f] considerably. This ended up impacting her relationship with [name_m]Miguel[/name_m] as [name_f]Talise[/name_f] wishes he’d do more to stand up for his sister - as she finds herself the one taking on this role and has done all in her power to establish close bonds between her children and their cousins, emphasising they’re all family ultimately, no matter what blood dictates in the eyes of some people. She’s always been a very loyal person and separating from [name_m]Miguel[/name_m] has been difficult for [name_f]Talise[/name_f], as she truly loves him, but feels he needs to make things clear where their niece and nephew are concerned, and tell his mother to treat [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] better. Part of her was uncharacteristically nervous about broaching the topic with her partner thanks to having been raised in foster care herself, knowing very little about her parentage or even where she was born, as it was believed Talise’s mother was an immigrant based on what few details the hospital where she was left were able to record. In turn this fuels her respect for [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], as she admits she wishes she’d been adopted growing up instead of being left in limbo.

Working as an art therapist who primarily works with people overcoming abandonment and attachment issues, [name_f]Talise[/name_f] refuses to psychoanalyse anyone she knows, no matter how tempting it may be from time-to-time. Her boldness can make people underestimate her strong empathy and caring for others, as she always carried quite an intimidating reputation, one which tended to bond her with likewise strong and fearless personalities. [name_f]Talise[/name_f] is still close with the other aunt to her and Miguel’s brood (as she affectionately calls her many children: fraternal girl/boy twins, followed by her single birth son and daughter), who was another girl raised in foster care who she truly came to see as her sister. She knows Miguel’s mother isn’t delighted the grandkids call Talise’s friend ‘Auntie’ but this hasn’t caused any more disagreements within the family, something she’s truly grateful for as arguing isn’t an enjoyment for her, even if people see her as combative. Right now, [name_f]Talise[/name_f] is caught in the throws of arranging classes for the twins who’ve just turned four: gymnastics for both of them, as teaching them to swim herself was enough stress, and some sort of martial arts too as they’ve both decided Spider-Man is who they want to grow up to be.

They are Zane’s little sisters and his mother was 34 when they were born which [name_m]Zane[/name_m] envies, since his mother was more stable having them and are triplets, which get lots of attention. Still he and his mother stay civil for the sake of the girls. They always love wearing their respective colours which the other families find cute.

Being triplets has their difficulties though as people can’t tell which is which when they’re not in their preferred colours and even when they’re in their colours, they’ll be called “the yellow one”, “the green one”, or “the red one” instead of their names when people forget their names. [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], the oldest by 10 minutes, hates being called “the yellow one” and always corrects people. [name_u]Steph[/name_u], 7 minutes younger than [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], was the one who first started wearing green and started the idea of colour codes, likes being called “the green one”, since starting the preferred colours was her idea. [name_f]Kiki[/name_f], the youngest, being 12 minutes younger than [name_u]Steph[/name_u], pretty much uses " [name_f]Kiki[/name_f] " and “the red one” interchangably since [name_f]Kiki[/name_f] is technically a nickname too.

[name_f]Talise[/name_f] loves to see them around and be great friends with her boy/girl twins. They all take gymnastics and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] takes martial arts. The girls like to play Spider-Man with the twins and love superheroes even though they prefer DC over [name_u]Marvel[/name_u], other than [name_u]Steph[/name_u] who is a true [name_u]Marvel[/name_u] fanatic. Despite their differences all-around, and their differences in colours, the girls are fun and innocent comic relief and enjoy the other kids more than anything.

Melinda Iris Kirkstead (18) is the triplets cousin and Zane’s technical step-cousin, although they don’t know each other that well and only refer to one another using first names currently. Melinda’s uncle is the triplets father and while he and Ms. Martin are no longer a couple, he’s an active father who has the girls’ one week, then they spend another with their mom. The fact her little cousins’ have rhyming middle names is something Melinda still can’t quite fathom and she’s told her mom that if they ever want to legally have them changed she’ll help out; not from a place of malice but as she wants them to avoid bullying or feeling their triplet status is the most defining characteristic about them. She’s an incredibly introverted, reserved person who the triplets affectionately call ‘Cousin Mouse’ as she’s brilliant at vanishing when she wants to avoid people.

Considered a musical prodigy at the school she attends, Melinda plays the cello and rhythm guitar, belonging to a folk-metal band named Fruit of Demeter - although they’re a very new project, just finding their feet as the search for the perfect lead guitarist led them on a wild goose chase which was ended when Melinda finally felt confident enough to speak up and recommended one of her oldest friends (a fellow school orchestra player) who was deemed perfect. Thanks to their musical interests, Melinda actually knows Dante and another of her close friends - her best friend in fact, although she doesn’t belong to FoD (as it’s known for time-saving reasons) - insists he has a bit of a crush on her, but the musician herself is way too shy to even consider this a possibility.

Stephen Dwayne & Maria Carissa Devereux (4) are Talise and Miguel’s oldest children, fraternal boy/girl twins, and are good friends with the triplets and trying to bond with Melinda. They do not go by nicknames or have rhyming middle names like the triplets as their mother finds this tacky herself and also do not have their father’s surname not because of Miguel but because of the drama between Talise and her mother-in-law. Miguel supports this but his mother does not and gets very crabby over it but the couple insist they’re not changing it. Like the triplets however, they do call Melinda ‘Cousin Mouse’ and while Talise playfully reminds them that Melinda isn’t their cousin, the nickname still stuck with them. They know about Fruit of Demeter because the new lead guitarist babysits the twins and sometimes tells them about the music. The twins think Fruit of Demeter is a very famous band worldwide and even when people tell them they’re not, the twins don’t believe them yet since the band always looked so professional to them, which the band members take as a high compliment. They get along well with Melinda’s best friend but are scared of Dante and don’t understand his soft side under his Gothic looks, but will eventually learn he is a nice guy.

[name_u]Joey[/name_u] was named for one of Miguel’s closest friends and Talise’s foster brothers. Neither of his namesakes have passed away - something that’s often assumed when the meaning is explained - but Joey’s at his happiest knowing he can form bonds with said men, being especially close with [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] Farrow, Talise’s (technical former) foster sibling. Sometimes [name_u]Joey[/name_u] feels a little alienated from his older siblings due to their closeness, especially with how the triplets possess an especial understanding of [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] and Maria’s bond; so having a little sister was a dream come true as far as he’s concerned. This is actually what inspired [name_m]Miguel[/name_m] and [name_f]Talise[/name_f] to try for a fourth time, as although they were happy with their trio, helping [name_u]Joey[/name_u] come out of his shell more and have a sibling he can become closer with was very important to them, as he’s a naturally shy little boy who struggles meeting strangers. His favourite thing currently is being read to by his mom, already obsessed with fantasy stories, in particular magic and mythical creatures.

tw: emotional abuse, neglect

[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Violet[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Gabriela[/name_f] Perez-Delgado (25) is the foster aunt of [name_m]Stephen[/name_m], [name_u]Maria[/name_u], [name_u]Joey[/name_u] and [name_f]Sharlene[/name_f], being the surrogate sister [name_f]Talise[/name_f] came to take on during the twos time in the foster care system. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] endured a very painful start in life: being neglected for the most part but when her parents were around they subjected her to an onslaught of emotional abuse, reminding her constantly of how much of a ‘burden’ they considered her to be, which culminated in the girl running away when she was just seven years old - leading to her being placed into foster care. Thanks to her traumatic upbringing, [name_f]Violet[/name_f] was never the most open of people and struggled to allow herself to bond with anyone, something that only really changed when she met [name_f]Talise[/name_f] while the pair were placed in the same foster home.

In spite of people’s assumptions she wouldn’t get far in life - due to her very defensive and abrasive nature up until she mellowed in her late teens - [name_f]Violet[/name_f] has succeeded in pursuing modelling as a full-time career, spending a lot of her time in Spain; not just on account of her Colombian heritage and speaking the language fluently, but also thanks to Violet’s main collaborator - an up-and-coming
non-binary designer - being based here. She still makes sure to dedicate time to visiting [name_f]Talise[/name_f] and her family though, being especially close with her nephew [name_u]Joey[/name_u] who thinks Violet’s the most fascinating person on account of her travels and many interesting friends. Unsurprisingly, [name_f]Violet[/name_f] also doesn’t have any caring for how Miguel’s mother views her - as the ‘improper aunt’ - but doesn’t engage in arguments with her, as she wants to spare more [name_f]Talise[/name_f] more drama and disapproval.

Verenice Dee Chalamet (23) is Violet’s pen pal, although they used to live in the same city and used to not get along. She is Isaiah’s cousin but her single father didn’t get along with Isaiah’s parents due to Verenice’s single dad being rich and spoiling Verenice. Verenice was your typical spoiled brat who got everything she wanted but still wanted more. She grew up in childhood being a show-off of everything she had and thinking people loved her, but people hated her for doing that because they knew her dad got her everything and she didn’t get any by herself. Verenice’s only friend was Angelyn because they were both rich spoiled kids and people said “Oh they’re basically the same person”.

However, after her father died in a plane crash in his private jet when she was 8, she was placed into foster care because nobody else in her family would take her in due to her and her father being so isolated with the other family members. Foster homes didn’t want to keep her because she would not stop being a greedy persnickety little brute, often being nicknamed “Veruca” by former foster parents. She met Violet who didn’t like her at all given her own troubled past and knowing Verenice grew up so privileged. She and Violet were once paired in the same home but the home couldn’t handle the two girls’ bickering and hated how bratty Verenice was. Violet would eventually be paired in a different home with Talise while Verenice stayed in the system.

During Verenice’s teenage years, she had a change of heart. She missed her late father but this was her life now and she had to stop turning people away with her brattiness. She focused on trying to be more independent and felt a better growth. Once when she was at one of Kent’s coffee shops, she saw Angelyn who asked “Verenice, why do you look so poor? Ew!” Verenice explained she was in the foster system and wasn’t rich or spoiled anymore and then asked why Angelyn doesn’t try to contact her anymore. Angelyn said, “I don’t make friends with peasants.” Verenice said back, “Glad we’re not friends anymore, you’re so fake.” The two never spoke to each other again. Later that year, Socean was protesting SeaWorld and rather than be snobby like Angelyn, she joined in the protest. She became especially close with Georgina who was raised in a wealthy lawyer family and realised they were toxic and wouldn’t let her pursue marine biology. Verenice found inspiration from her and found being born in a rich family isn’t true happiness.

When Verenice entered adulthood and left the foster care system, she continued focusing on independence. She had an inheritance from her late father she could collect and did so, but only used some to pay for college tuition and necessities. For someone raised as a spoiled brat, she hadn’t actually had a luxury in quite some time and paid for a vacation in Spain. She met Violet again while vacationing and apologised for being a bad foster sister. Violet noticed Verenice wasn’t acting like a brat and wasn’t all dolled up and decided to talk to her but not befriend her just yet. Verenice learned Violet’s story and felt even worse for her and realised both of them had different lives but something in common - both of them were not expected to get far in life. Verenice told Violet that if she didn’t want to contact her, it would be fine and she wouldn’t be offended. Violet had some drama with Talise’s family and feared Verenice would bring more drama, but respected Verenice for not forcing her to like her so they agreed to chat. Verenice told Violet about Georgina, her new friend who at this point had cut out the lawyer family for her dream in marine biology. She told Violet that Georgina’s strength in leaving a forceful family inspired her to stop being bratty and never be forceful of others. At the end of the vacation, she and Violet agreed to be pen pals.

Some things have changed over the years. Angelyn had been convicted as the driver who killed former Socean Vice President Ozzy Flannigan in a hit-and-run four years earlier, making Verenice hate Angelyn more and was vehemently grateful not to be her friend anymore and take her “too rich for responsibility” path. Isaiah has warmed up to her and now they are closer as cousins. She and Talise have gotten along better and she adores Talise’s good motherhood of the four despite the family’s conflict. Verenice wants to be a mother one day and end up fostering children too when she is older. She and Georgina are very close and with her inheritance, she paid for Georgina’s university tuition for her to major in marine biology since her own family wouldn’t pay her funds. On what would have been Ozzy’s 23rd birthday, she donated $23,000 of the inheritance money to an ocean rescue charity. She also donated some cash to foster care systems to help improve their systems. She has only used inheritance money for good to others and lived a minimalist adult lifestyle. And for her and Violet? She and Violet are still good pen pals in contact and Verenice has since learned Spanish. Violet credits Verenice for makin good in her life and not being a spoiled brat forever but Verenice says it was Violet who helped open her eyes and Violet could have chosen not to contact her at all if she wanted to. Verenice has also found a new role model besides the ones she had, Violet’s non-binary collaborator. Verenice believes they too have so much potential as a designer to make it big and has plans to do whatever she can to help.
