[name_u]An[/name_u] escape from the beautiful but exhaustingly common [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f], and for those looking for an under-the-radar alternative to their favourite floral name.

I will be linking any similar posts I make in the future, and they will be under one collective. Note that my astronomy triad is unrelated and seprate to this series. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are: Aralia, Astilbe (love this), [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Calluna[/name_f], [name_u]Fennel[/name_u] (never considered this!), [name_m]Hemlock[/name_m] (yeah, it’s dark but I do love it), [name_f]Lunaria[/name_f], [name_u]Oleander[/name_u], Solandra (:heavy_heart_exclamation:), [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] (I love!), [name_u]Yarrow[/name_u] and [name_f]Celandine[/name_f] (even if it missed the list)

Some others I like: [name_f]Stellaria[/name_f], [name_f]Salvia[/name_f], Rosmarinus, Lavandula, [name_f]Picotee[/name_f], [name_f]Gardenia[/name_f], [name_f]Myosotis[/name_f], and Odora

[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] is actually very uncommon. I think [name_f]Sakura[/name_f] or maybe even [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] are more common than [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f].

[name_f]Sakura[/name_f] is in the 10 most common names in Japan and one of the most common Japanese names in US and Australia. [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] is not that rare too compared to [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f].

Agreed that I would consider [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] very uncommon. I love [name_f]Cleome[/name_f], I met one once, she was an elderly woman and I just thought it was such a beautiful name. Also a big fan of [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u]!

It’s certainly special to find a list where these two are too “regular” to be included! I think [name_f]Nutmeg[/name_f] would also fit the bill—love her.
