Not the same but for ages when I tried to press the plus, my whole tab crashed! So I don’t know if maybe some devices are struggling with the format?

Another change with the newest update: when quoting a post, there seem to be empty name links before and after the username? Like [name_f] [ /name_f] but with no actual name in there. Is there a reason for that? Surely that’s not intentional?

Hi everyone,
A little bit of context I wanted to provide, although I can’t give details at the moment - there are some upcoming big changes on the Nameberry forums and for that reason you can take these new flaws and formatting changes with a grain of salt for now. Anything still problematic after the upcoming changes we can take a deeper look at, if that makes sense! Everyone is doing a wonderful job at program solving and finding workarounds for what we can for the time being, and as far as long term plans, sit tight and hopefully I can share more soon!

Has anyone figured out how to enter a new line without it jumping down

On mobile: slide the little A in the upper left corner to turn off markdown mode

Is there a way to see the posts you’ve been tagged in? Not just the ones that appear in the notification bar, but all tags, similar to the way you can see people’s replies to you.

I do think [name_f][/name_f] (“herb”) and

How do you make a poll? I haven’t made one in a long time and I guess I forgot how and can’t find a post explaining how to insert one. [name_m]An[/name_m] explanation would be much appreciated!
On the toolbar across the top of the post editor box, the last option on the right is a circle with a plus sign in it. Click on that, and then ‘Build poll’ is the second-to-last option (you may have to scroll down to see it)

[name_m]Just[/name_m] curious, what are the optics/technicalities on the “no politics or religion” rule? I know that topics specifically dedicated to religion and politics aren’t allowed, unless specifically relevant to names, but I’m interested in what the technicalities are.

A little tricky to answer but I’ll try my best! There isn’t a black and white answer for this one but we do our best to use our judgement case by case and talk it over as a moderation team to reach a decision. In general, our goal is to make Nameberry a safe and conflict free space, and so for the most part we act when posts are reported to us by users who do feel uncomfortable from the content, and so we request the original poster remove any political content from their post. For topics that are inherently sensitive and current hot topics or debates we try to remove as soon as we see them. We have been more lenient with user cards since it’s pretty easy to avoid clicking on a user card that you don’t want to see or that you don’t agree with, versus the public posts. I hope this makes sense and I wish I had a more clear answer, but the truth is we use the best judgement we can as a moderator team!

I think they said that they’re aware of the issue, but don’t currently think it’s something they’re going to be working on. I could be wrong though, as I don’t remember where/when that was posted!
