Ttc 2020!

CD19 and no ov yet. The last cycle must have thrown my body a bit, understandably.

I definitely hope you’re not coming down with something!

I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], your nephew has a beautiful name!
Also love [name_f]Mila[/name_f], it’s one of those million names I adore but can’t use because of being spanish and living on Spain (people would pronounced it like Me-lah and I don’t like it).

In our case, we don’t normally have a lot of sex, we are always tired because of our jobs, but TTC has improved our sex life, I guess because of the excitement of trying without contraception or the novelty. But I totally get it would be absolutely different if we had kids or if we’d been trying for a long time, I would find it very frustating.

So I’m 0/1 dpo today, I’m going to try to wait until [name_f]October[/name_f] 2nd to start testing

Not having to think about contraception or have anxiety about an “oops” definitely makes things more enjoyable, I agree. I think previously part of my brain was always occupied with “what if we make a mistake!” and “I read my chart correctly, right??” :person_facepalming: :joy:

Its very similar for us. We both have high stress jobs, and sometimes were just tired and don’t hit the mark the way we should.

I’m hopeful this month as we got to go on our honeymoon and really relax away from work for once. Though it was definitely a weird vacation with Covid, but we rented our own cabin in the woods to atleast we could enjoy that. I hope to go back in a few years and really experience the area.

Same here, a few weeks ago we finally had holidays and rented a really nice cabin by the beach and that helps with everything (we bd more in ten days than in the previous 2 months :laughing: sorry definitely TMI) but most places were closed, I want to come back there in the future

@AlSP We would pronounce it Me-lah too. Would you say it Mill-ah?

Another combo I’m considering (in case [name_f]Morgana[/name_f] doesn’t pan out) is [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] (I keep coming back to it). So I think I would prefer that over [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. It’s very Slavic, but [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] are family names so it’s not too much of a stretch, I think.

I like Mi-lah (Maɪla) but here people would say me-lá and would sound weird with spanish pronnounciation :laughing:
I love [name_f]Mila[/name_f] Elizabeta [name_f]Morgana[/name_f] and also [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f], I slightly prefer the second one.
I have no idea what would I name my baby! :worried: I can’t seem to find a “perfect” name and I’ve come to a point where all the names I’ve always loved sound ugly to me. It’s kind of stressing me out and I’m not even pregnant!

@LiliMorgana, I hope the tiredness is pregnancy and not illness! @AlSP, thinking good thoughts for you, too!
@PrincessShannon, I’m glad you were able to get away and relax a bit. Hopeful this will be your month.

@LiliMorgana, I love [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] [name_f]Morgana[/name_f], and [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f]. I would be more inclined toward [name_f]Morgana[/name_f] as I love it more on its own. MAE are cute initials, though the whole thing is very Eastern European. Not a bad vibe, I’m a figure skating fan and she definitely sounds like she could be in amongst top skaters. But MEM is endearing and reminds me of Mem [name_u]Fox[/name_u], an idol of mine.

:heavy_check_mark:
Totally. 100% I wish I knew what I wanted.

Mila [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] is also lovely. I’m still rooting for [name_f]Morgana[/name_f] for you though!

Even knowing what I want at the beginning of a pregnancy, I always change my mind somewhere along the line. I think it’s different when you realize it’s happening and you’re naming an actual baby. So I wouldn’t worry too much about not knowing what you want. You have time to find something you love (and change your mind a couple times too!) @AlSP

@hyacinthbucket Yeah, I tend to like Eastern European names. [name_f]My[/name_f] background is Polish and Macedonian, among other things (my great great grandmother was [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and my great grandmother on the other side [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f]) so it’s just [name_f]Anya[/name_f] I’m unsure about. I do have a Polish cousin [name_f]Ania[/name_f], but I prefer the Russian spelling more. I just keep coming back to it, so we’ll see what happens. I do love [name_f]Morgana[/name_f].

Well. There was a line so faint last night I figured it was an evap. And a faint line this morning with a bit of colour. But FAINT. So I’m going to wait until I test again and see if it’s still there. Hopefully it’s good news!

Fingers crossed!! :grin::grin::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Looking forward to hearing some news from you, @LiliMorgana.
And I also prefer [name_f]Anya[/name_f] to [name_f]Ania[/name_f].

I had some sugar this week whereas I’ve been sugar free for several months (really almost 3 years but there have periods in there I’ve eased up on the restriction for sanity/fun). Kicking myself for it even though I know it’s not a big deal… I’m just overthinking egg quality and gestational diabetes. I’d clearly rather have a little sugar than a little shame… but I can’t keep myself from stressing about it. We also had takeout 3 times this week (we usually have a meal from outside our home once every 2 weeks) and while I ordered in line with my preconception diet, I still worry about the cooking oils and the plastics and styrofoam storage… [name_f]My[/name_f] partner threw out his back last weekend and he is the cook in our house and I couldn’t figure out how to make some meals happen last minute otherwise with everything else going on. There is just a lot of anxiety happening over here, which of course it ultimately the worst thing for everybody… including my eggs. Thanks for listening.

The line was faint yesterday so I took a digital test today to see and it says “pregnant”! I’m glad it spelled it out for me, haha. Thanks to all of you for your kindness and support, I’ll stick around for a bit and I hope some of you come with me when I go!

How is everyone doing? Anyone else getting ready to test?

@LiliMorgana congratulations!

It’s still a bit early for me to test. I’ll probably start [name_f]Monday[/name_f] or [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f].

@LiliMorgana congratulations!!

I’ve been having a really confusing time these past two weeks. I’ve been thinking I might be pregnant because I’ve been so extremely tired and my boobs have grown like… a lot. And that’s not something they do? Haha. And I’ve just had that feeling, even though I haven’t been pregnant before and don’t really know how it’s supposed to feel. But my tests have been negative, so I have no idea what’s happening.

I’m supposed to get my period today or tomorrow, so I’m still just waiting. Compulsively feeling any signs of it coming on :joy:

CD22 here, I think. Still no ov, but peak fluid the last couple of days, so hopefully soon. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Yay, @LiliMorgana! Super happy for you! Congrats. I’m just curious, this made 4 cycles or how long was it actually in the end?

@PrincessShannon, looking forward to hearing back early this week.

@pennysola, any updates?

@_thelittlefairywren, I hope your long cycle finally picked up steam! How is it going?

@hyacinthbucket Thank you! This was the third cycle trying, just like last time! I’m actually “due” (based on LMP) in [name_u]June[/name_u] like a week before my last baby’s birthday. Weird that they might both be [name_u]June[/name_u] babies! Found out early like last time too (the boys were a positive like a day before AF was due). I’m not even 4 weeks yet and starting to feel symptoms already–just like last time. I wonder if with every pregnancy you get more sensitive to it. Like your body just goes “oh I know what this is again!” lol. Makes me a bit nervous because the last pregnancy was MUCH harder than the other two, so maybe that’s the new standard? Early nausea, exhaustion and achiness, cramping, and sore boobs already? Maybe it’ll be another girl!

@hyacinthbucket CD24 this morning and still no temp shift :roll_eyes: I’m trying not to be impatient and just let my body take whatever time it needs, but it’s a bit frustrating. Sigh.
