What are your middle names?

Tis [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. I love it and all its variants.

My middle name is [name_f]May[/name_f], and my siblings have [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Queen[/name_f], [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], Kel, [name_f]Plum[/name_f] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m].
I’d consider using [name_f]May[/name_f] somewhere in my future daughter’s name, and I actually really love it as a first name,
but I think there’s so many names out there that I love too much to re-use one of my own.
My middle name, and my two full sisters- who wear Rose and Grace in the middle-(my other siblings are step/half), is definitely a “filler” name,
neither of the three hold any family meaning or anything. My stepsisters’ middle names (Queen, Frances and Plum) were, I believe, simply
chosen because they were loved by their parents. Kel was chosen for its meaning, and Edward is my stepmum’s deceased father.

Mine is [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. I love it. I know [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] won’t win any prizes for originality but I don’t care.

I would use it on a daughter.

My MN is [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] because [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a family name but there were already too many girls in my family with the MN [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. So they discovered an alternative and so I am [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. (I was born before Twilight so that’s not where they got it).

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for my great grandmother (also my aunt’s middle name), and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] for my grandmother.

My first name is [name_f]Lily[/name_f]

Mine is not very common. It is Kehaulani prnounced [name_u]Kay[/name_u]-how-lah-nee. A Hawaiian name meaning heavenly dew. I also share the same middle as my mom.

I’m another one who was born in the 80’s and given [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] as a middle name

[name_u]Devon[/name_u] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]

My full name is [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] M. I think my names are alright, but I won’t pass any of them on to my own kids. especially not madelyn.

My middle name is Kalara, it is aboriginal for rushing water, it was given to me by an aboriginal elder that was a good friend of my parents. My full name is [name_f]Ella[/name_f] kalara. My sister also has a aboriginal middle name, Jillamee.

Mine is [name_f]Danielle[/name_f], after my dad’s [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. My brother’s is [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and my sister and my mom both [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]. Not sure why I got lumped in with the boys (I’m 90% sure my dad named me), but I always loved it.
I’d consider using it, but I didn’t use either version for my son or my daughter. My son and I both have D middle names (his is [name_m]David[/name_m], a family name), and my daughter and my husband both have R middles.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - I was told that a woman in the same ward as my mother gave birth to a little girl who only survived for a few hours. They had become close and with her blessing I was given her daughter’s name as a middle.

My sister’s mn is [name_f]Aisling[/name_f], a nod to her Irish heritage; I love her dearly and would be more likely to use her mn for my daughters middles.

I have two - [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_f]Grace[/name_f], I always thought, was just because Mum loved the name. She actually wanted it as my first name, but was put off by the thought of people calling me [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] (yuk!). However, I recently found out my Dad had an Aunt [name_f]Grace[/name_f], so it is linked to family too. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is a strong family name - my paternal Aunt and maternal Grandmother are both called [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], it is also my maternal Aunt’s middle name and it might be floating around further back in the family tree too, so it’s definitely a name I would like to carry through if/when I have a daughter. I’m not sure whether it would be first or middle, though I do like the idea of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] as a nickname xx

My middle name is [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. It’s not a family name, so it’s nothing I’ve every passed down to any of my girls.
All of my children are named after my husband’s family, or my family. Should this one be a girl, her name will be in memory of my husband’s grandmother that just passed before we found out I was pregnant. And if a boy, he will be named [middle] after my grandfather.
I really dislike my middle name, and I think I’d like it if there was a story behind it, or someone that I could say I was named after. :[

Mine is [name_f]Jade[/name_f]… I’m not sure where my mom got it from, but I’ve always liked it. I would maybe give it to a daughter, or some variation of it. For some reason I really like the sound of Jadrey ([name_u]Jay[/name_u]-dree), but I put it on the forums once and no one else seemed to like it. But it doesn’t have any family significance other than being my middle name, so I don’t know if I would actually ever use it.

Mine is [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. No story for it, my parents just liked the name. I’d always wanted a name with at least a little bit of meaning, instead of something random

[name_f]Elvira[/name_f], for my great-grandmother whose middle name too was [name_f]Elvira[/name_f]. Her parents gave her the name inspired by the Danish tightrope walker, [name_f]Elvira[/name_f] [name_u]Madigan[/name_u], who not only was the most famous tightrope walker of her time, she was also involved in one of the most legendary love affairs in Danish history. To make a long story short, she and the Swedish cavalry officer Sixten Sparre fell in love but he was married and had children and abandoned his service for her, so in the end they killed themselves in a forest. My great-grandmother’s parents were born during the Danish Romantic period, so I presume they fancied the story.

I also have a second middle which is a [name_m]French[/name_m] family surname, but I hardly ever use that

Mine is [name_f]Rose[/name_f], after my great grandmother [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I wish it were [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] instead of the 80s filler everyone else has.

My middle name is [name_u]Julianne[/name_u]. I have no idea why my parents chose that, but I do like it very much. I’m not sure if I would use it for a daughter or not.

I’m [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. My Mom is [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], my Mom-mom is [name_f]Susan[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], and my Great Gramma is [name_f]Norma[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] (all first-born daughters). So I’m a 4th generation [name_u]Jean[/name_u], and I do plan on giving it to my first-born daughter, because I love the tradition of it. I think I’d pair it with [name_f]Isobel[/name_f].

My middle name is [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f], after my great grandmother.
