What is your pet's full name?

My fawn colored terrier is [name_f]Xanthia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Known mostly as [name_f]Rosey[/name_f] & Rosanthia.

[name_f]Xanthia[/name_f], because I love it. [name_f]Rose[/name_f], after my great-grandfather [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m] and my love of flowers.

We have two cats: Butterscotch (orange + white tabby - my cat) & Cognac (flame-point persian -my dad’s cat). They’re both boys & so cute!

We have two cats, [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. I had a cat that went missing (the cat in the picture on my profile) while I was pregnant with DS that I had raised from kittenhood, she was one month shy of five years old when we lost her and she was still so tiny! A little gray tabby girl named Pajamas [name_u]June[/name_u]. A silly name for a silly, spirited, wild and funny girl! She was everyone’s favorite, she would follow me around outside and “help” in the garden, and would hop in the car to go for a ride. She also made these sweet chirpy chortle purring noises instead of meowing. Miss that cat every day!

Yorkie Poodle:
Mupetta [name_f]Joy[/name_f] (Muppet)
Border [name_f]Collie[/name_f]:
Adelheide [name_u]Day[/name_u] ([name_f]Heidi[/name_f])

Muppet came with her name I just made it longer.
When [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] was little she would hide all the time. My mom said to her, " Are you hiding ? " and my grandma misheard her and said, “[name_f]Heidi[/name_f] is a good name for her!”

We have two cats and we’re getting two guinea pigs.

My sisters named the first cat Faylee the [name_f]Fairy[/name_f] [name_f]Cat[/name_f]. We call her Faylee.
My cat is named [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and I usually call her [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
The guinea pigs will be named [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and Mochi [name_f]Louise[/name_f], and they will be called [name_f]Juni[/name_f] and [name_u]Mo[/name_u]

My cat has one name

[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] goddess of earth!

My next animal will be [name_f]Juno[/name_f] goddess of the heavens

My childhood cat was named…

[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] “[name_u]Andy[/name_u]” Geange-McCurdy the 3rd.

Pointer Terrier mix: [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] (daugh. Named her) [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] (after my middle sis m. Name), [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] ( such a perfectly behaved, kind compassionate dog)

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]…actually [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Pain when she is naughty. Adorable Cocker Spaniel named by Daughter.

[name_u]Oberon[/name_u] [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] male [name_m]Black[/name_m] Lab pyrenees…guard dog I named him. “[name_m]Obi[/name_m]”

[name_f]Shasta[/name_f] [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] Aussie/ Heeler/ terrier- Flock dog. looks like a fox with blondish red fur. Husband named first name. I named the rest.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] Kittymeow. [name_m]Black[/name_m] cat Niece named her.
Turkeys: [name_m]Elmer[/name_m] Fudd and Homely [name_m]Homer[/name_m].
Two roosters: [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] & [name_m]Cecil[/name_m], 5 Hens: [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] and Twister & [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f]. 7 pullets not yet named!

[name_u]Marlow[/name_u]'s full name is [name_u]Marlow[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u], all of my other pets have only one name (though I’m toying with [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and other middle names for them just because I love names)

Dog - [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Russell[/name_m]/Pug Mix
Name: [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
Full Name: [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] [name_f]Diablo[/name_f] [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m]
Nicknames: [name_m]Dex[/name_m], [name_m]Dexter[/name_m] [name_f]Diablo[/name_f], [name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m], [name_m]Bud[/name_m], [name_m]Buddy[/name_m], Bug, Butthead, [name_m]Woody[/name_m] Woodpecker, and he gets called Pumbaa at the dog park lol
Reasons: He came to us with the name [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], my older sister named him, and we liked it. [name_f]Diablo[/name_f] because he’s a little devil sometimes. [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] because he has a [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m] complex; he thinks he’s a [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], I swear lmao. He gets called [name_m]Woody[/name_m] Woodpecker because when his hair grows in he gets a little mohawk of red on his head, even tho there’s no other red on his body. And he gets called Pumbaa because he walks around like Pumbaa and he looks strikingly similar to the live action Pumbaa color, height and weight wise. Trying to catch him is also very much like trying to catch a greased pig, so it works lol

[name_f]Cat[/name_f] - Tuxedo
Name: [name_f]Kiara[/name_f]
Full Name: Doesn’t have one
Nicknames: [name_m]Kierre[/name_m], [name_f]Kyra[/name_f], Kee, Miss [name_f]Kiara[/name_f], [name_m]French[/name_m] Fry, [name_m]Little[/name_m] One, Mao/MaoMao, Murr/MurrMurr, Pumpkin, Lump, Sweet Thing, and various other cutesy pet names.
Reasons: We named her [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] because it means “little dark one” and she was so tiny and mostly black, so it seemed fitting. [name_m]French[/name_m] Fry was the name we gave her after we first rescued her, when she was too young to determine her gender. She lived up to it too, she LOVES [name_m]French[/name_m] Fries lol. I felt weird calling for [name_m]French[/name_m] Fry tho, so we also used [name_m]Little[/name_m] One. We call her Pumpkin because she was born in [name_f]October[/name_f] and came to us just shy of Halloween. Mao and Murr are based on her sound effects. Lump is because she likes to hide under blankets and become a lump in the bed. Sweet Thing is after a [name_m]Keith[/name_m] Urban song.

[name_f]Cat[/name_f] - White/[name_u]Grey[/name_u] Striped [name_f]Tabby[/name_f]
Name: [name_f]Missy[/name_f]
Full Name: Doesn’t have one
Nicknames: Miss, Miss-Miss, Miss [name_f]Missy[/name_f], [name_f]Missy[/name_f] Girl, [name_f]Cherry[/name_f] Mistmas, Mistletoe, Miss-chievous, Pissy [name_f]Missy[/name_f], and Fat Cat. Sometimes we call her Queen of the House too, bc she’s the oldest pet. She also gets various cutesy pet names, but mostly [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Girl.
Reasons: Pretty much anything that incorporates ‘Miss’, we call her. [name_f]Cherry[/name_f] Mistmas is Merry Christmas but with the first letters moved and that somehow caught on as her “Holiday Nickname”, along with Mistletoe. Pissy [name_f]Missy[/name_f] is for when she’s in a bad mood. And my sister’s bf calls her Fat Cat even though she’s not all that fat lol.

[name_f]Cat[/name_f] - Orange [name_f]Tabby[/name_f] (deceased)
Name: Scamper
Full Name: Scamper [name_m]Bob[/name_m] [name_m]Stanley[/name_m]
Nicknames: Scamps, Scamper Boy, Scamper [name_m]Bob[/name_m], Buggaboo, Bug, King Scamper, [name_m]Houdini[/name_m], and [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Boy.
Reasons: Scamper was named immediately after we put him down in our house and he went racing through it. [name_m]Bob[/name_m] and [name_m]Stanley[/name_m] were my (very young at the time) sister’s additions. They somehow managed to stick. I have no idea where I got Buggaboo from, but I called him that ALL the time. He really, truly was the King of the house; always observing from high up places like [name_m]Mufasa[/name_m] on Pride [name_m]Rock[/name_m]. And he was a real escape artist too, hence [name_m]Houdini[/name_m]. Couldn’t catch this cat for anything and he slipped out of every single collar and helped [name_f]Missy[/name_f] out of her’s until we just gave up lol.

Dog: cockapoo
[name_m]Rocky[/name_m] Balboa
Was my birthday present when I turned 10 and was teeeeeny tiny (2.5 pounds of fluff) when we got him. My dad said that such a little guy needed a tough name and, being that we’re from the [name_u]Philly[/name_u] area, that was it. We just lost him in [name_f]April[/name_f] at almost 15 and I cried hysterically for days, that dog had my whole heart from minute one.
Other things we called him: [name_m]Rock[/name_m], Pocky, Rockin, Rockland Road, [name_m]Rock[/name_m]'n’roll High School, [name_m]Rock[/name_m] Lobster, more that I can’t think of

Dog: little rescue (we think Havanese or Havapoo)
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
Really just the [name_m]Eric[/name_m] Clapton song, that’s it.
Other things we call her: [name_m]Lay[/name_m], LayLay, [name_m]Little[/name_m] Girl, [name_f]Aretha[/name_f], [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] Fierce (she was [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] before we adopted her)

Nicknames for the two of them as a unit: Fluffy and [name_m]Stuffy[/name_m], Stinky and Blinky, Stinkus and Blinkus

My cat is Mister [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], known as Mister or Mist.

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Susan[/name_f]

My large sassy cat- [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
My [name_m]Bassett[/name_m] mix- Toast [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
My [name_u]Holland[/name_u] lop bunny- [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

I have also had a Newfoundland named [name_m]Sirius[/name_m] [name_m]Black[/name_m] but we called him Blackie

Your pets have middle names??? Hate to break it to you, but they’re not actual children…
We just named our bulldog Vicious as a joke (she’s a huge coward)

I grew up always using the original name my pet had before I got it, as a middle name. This resulted in quite the interesting combos…

A grey cat named [name_u]Gus[/name_u]-[name_u]Gus[/name_u] [name_u]Billy[/name_u]
A brown cat named Snickers [name_f]Sun[/name_f] [name_f]Valley[/name_f] [name_f]Sue[/name_f] (yes, her original name was the full combination of [name_f]Sun[/name_f] [name_f]Valley[/name_f] [name_f]Sue[/name_f])
A sweet little hedgehog named [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f]

I’d like to think I’ve improved on naming by now but it’s fun to look back on those silly times.

We have 3 dogs.
[name_f]Pippi[/name_f] - Shetland Sheepdog
[name_f]Pippi[/name_f] [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Leia[/name_f]

[name_m]Thor[/name_m] - Lab x [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]
[name_m]Thor[/name_m] Yoda Dinglebat

[name_m]Obi[/name_m] - Shetland Sheepdog
[name_m]Obi[/name_m]-Wan [name_m]Buddy[/name_m] Menace

All have a starwars name and what they often get called.

Currently we have [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], our dog . . . but we call him [name_m]Harry[/name_m].

We also have a cat named Miezekatze, which is the [name_m]German[/name_m] word for “pussycat”. We call him Mieze, or Meeta, or Meety. or baby. We also call him baby. He is spoiled.

We are on the market for another kitten, and I am a professional musician. I’m vying for the names [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_f]Allegra[/name_f], or [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]. I would also be okay with [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]/[name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]/[name_f]Dolly[/name_f], or [name_f]Willow[/name_f]/[name_f]Willa[/name_f].

We have an Airedale Terrier named [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_u]Kalani[/name_u].

We were looking for Hispanic and/or African names for our dog. Some options included Shuri and Osita.

We ended up asking every close family member what they liked, and we called her [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. The middle name was easier, the exotic-sounding name of my favorite dance moms character.

[name_f]Mini[/name_f] Australian [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]- [name_m]Koda[/name_m]
Border [name_f]Collie[/name_f] Mix- [name_m]Bandit[/name_m]
Leopard Geckos- [name_f]Lilo[/name_f] & Stitch

I don’t have middle names for my pets. I’m not against it, I’ve just never thought of it.
