10 years after their parents tragically passed away, the [name_m]Turner[/name_m] siblings are still struggling to get by. They still live on the family farm with eldest son [name_u]Henry[/name_u] being the main farmhand. He works tirelessly to keep the farm alive and receives help from his younger sisters [name_f]Martha[/name_f] and [name_f]Betty[/name_f] who have now both finished school. [name_u]Henry[/name_u] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] are both engaged to two local peasant girls who have now moved into the family home. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_u]Rose[/name_u] take care of all the household chores. Although this is helpful, it also means 2 more people to feed which is a struggle for the Turners. To help earn more money, [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_u]Jack[/name_u] have both started working as blacksmiths. Despite their hardships, the family have all luckily survived the past decade. However, both [name_f]Martha[/name_f] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] have caught pneumonia in recent weeks and have beem very sick. This has not only been a great source of worry for the family, but has also meant 2 family members have not been working, worsening their poverty
